Kids author and Big Brother host from way back when. I wouldn’t call her a current celebrity at all.

Yes we have unions in that industry and in most industries. It would depend on whether the person was covered by an enterprise bargaining agreement/award or if they were a contractor. EBAs specify the amount of time a worker is allowed to take for breaks which the union would hopefully enforce. 

Where I live they’re $20 each so we get two at a time, one for home and one for school.

We think it was peanut cross-contamination. Or maybe a new allergy. She was diagnosed with several anaphylactic allergies years ago so we’ve had a good run I guess.

I don’t understand it. When they came to Australia, a colleague and I saw police tape shutting off an area where we were working and a bunch of people hanging around. We thought it was a murder or something (which wouldn’t be that unexpected in the area) until we realised it was a crowd gathering to watch them…

FaceTiming is the next step on from someone putting you on speakerphone to speak with a group of people. I hate them both.

Gretel Killeen was the host of Big Brother way back when. And wrote a bunch of kids books. She’s a moderately known ‘personality’ here but I haven’t heard anything about her for 10 years or so.

Books as weapons. Just...I don’t even know what to say. What a horrifying situation. I cannot imagine the level of constant anxiety I would have if I had a kid in school in the US or was a teacher.

My partner and I have thought the same. Would love to work overseas sometime but yeah, the guns.
