Since many of the posters here (me included) are often criticizing the writing on the site, it’s worth saying -- this review is very well written.

For those of you that freak out any time I complain about the show spinning it’s wheels when it comes to plot, and that this is all about charcter development, I submit this episode as to why both aren’t going well.

Anyone buying that he wasn’t well rested is just living in a fantasy (not saying you but anyone who thinks that). He was at Camp David for over a week before the debate. He didn’t have a cold, wasn’t jet-lagged, and wasn’t “over prepared” (whatever that means). He’s simply elderly and in mental decline.

Possibly unpopular take?: It doesn’t feel like 2016 again, because IIRC there was a general sense then that of course Trump wouldn’t actually win and even he seemed surprised that he did.

Here’s the thing: reassuring your nervous supporters that the debate was “one bad night” shouldn’t be complicated at all. Just get the candidate in as many live, unscripted situations as possible to prove that he can still think on his feet and still has the stamina to campaign. Schedule a live, one-hour town hall…

I don’t think anybody blamed Glover for being too busy with his various impressive projects, but if it’s being delayed because of the shooting schedule of whatever that animal show that McHale’s on? Come on.

That is the thing, its all hypothetical “think of the women” bullshit with the terfs. They find one case where someone , who may or may not actual be trans, does something wrong and then they say “Look, this is all trans people everywhere!!!!”. They also cherry pick data worse then climate change deniers.  

Yes I do often hear of hate crimes against transphobes, where Transwomen beat little old ladies with brickbats while saying “CALL ME A WOMAN!”

in hindsight the dancing is the best part of that movie.
