Eh, cars got bigger. My landlord’s car only fits in the garage if we pull the door out as it comes down - and the car’s an 90s sedan. If the house is from the 40s or earlier, don’t expect the garage to fit anything modern.

Counterpoint - if you have a small garage and your other hobbies include lots of DIY and outdoorsy stuff, you turn it into a workshop and the car sits outside. The trick is keeping it organized and uncluttered. To me, a nice garage workshop > empty box to keep snow off your Kia.

This is the thing I never got with a lot of friends... Their garage is literally FULL of shit and boxes and they park their cars outside...

Although it hurts my IC heart, we need electric cars (along with a green grid and a bunch of other shit).

So... that’s my car. Sold it about two years ago. I daily drove it for about two years prior to that, but didn’t have anywhere to store it when I went to a newer car.

I’ve noticed something since the pandemic numbers have been rising as fast as the economy has been cratering:  The “Concentration camps for kids are cool!” crowd that I have access to are still ride or die with Trump. But “The world is changing and I’m not at the center of it anymore make it stop!” people? Not saying…

I’m a dual citizen. My mom is from Munich; she and my dad live near Nuremberg (my dad is a retired army soldier working on a base over there). The primary purpose of this trip, and any trip I take to Germany, is to spend time with them (though of course, I’m excited about this van trip, too).
