Calling somebody weak because they don't embrace your particular beliefs or morals sounds fairly self-righteous to me.

No way in hell we don't get more seasons. Korra is the highest-rated show in Nick (I think it's in competition with some AMC shows) and the creators are on board with the idea of more.

I find it very interesting that Bryke repeatedly insist that 12-episode seasons are something they want to do because it allows them to jam the plot forward faster.

I don't think it ruins the whole thing, as the character of Amon is ultimately irrelevant to the larger underlying political and social issues of Republic City; he was just a man who galvanized the masses into action upon preexisting grudges and views.

I'm of agreement that the ending would have been much better served as a cliffhanger of sorts, but this is one instance in which the "it was designed as a single season" argument actually applies. They had to give some kind of resolution, although it could've been handled better.

Yeah, I really do hope S2 provides some further exploration into the issue of bender/non-bender conflict. There's a lot of depth to plumb there.

I'm hoping this is something we'll see more of in S2.

I'm inclined to agree here, but the problem is Season 1 was conceived and designed as an independent entity, so there's no way they could have delivered a cliffhanger ending.

Eh.
Eh.
I quite liked the finale, but I do think I would have preferred Amon's story to have come from Amon himself.
