I heard that they made the Khal Drogo plot a bit more rape-oriented in the TV show, which is unfortunate. He's actually pretty decent to Dany when they first meet in the books, at least by comparison to other characters within the existing framework of medeival society.

Yeah, it's only been 7 episodes, but it's already won me over completely. I don't consider short duration necessarily an impediment in something becoming one of my favorite shows, either; MS 08th team is only 12 episodes, and Baccano ran for 16.
