The Tuck Pendleton Machine

Job is good.  Food is good. Losing weight is also good.
Most of my friends who went sober picked up some serious hobbies (which is how I met some of them).  I guess it helps keep them busy and their minds off their addiction-and having a passion for something typically is a healthy thing.

I can emphasize.  With a family, going off the scheduling rails is dangerous.
However, as a single guy like I was then (and am now), I can always make the decision to say 'Fuckit.  No hotel tonight-I'm renting and riding a Vespa 'til dawn!'

I, too, love Florence.  I recommend it much more than I would Venice.

That's great.  What fun hobbies have you found since you went sober?

Fox SOP: don't support a show, cancel it, then profit off of its corpse in any way possible.

I used to work at a restaurant right by the lake when they were building it.  That area can be full of idiot drivers, so I'm glad you have the relative safety of a vehicle now.

Ridiculously so? Like, did she do a riverdance while getting pelted with tomatos while she sang that she wasn't interested?

I don't think I'll ever go to Coachella again, but yeah…there will be plenty of good bands there.

You live in Phoenix without an air-conditioned home and without a car?

Saying it thrice while spinning in front of a bathroom mirror with the lights out will make the internet implode.

On the plus side, everyone around him giggles when he farts like that, so it cheers everyone up.

Yep.  It's experimental, it's ironic, and there's no way it can match up with those iconic albums, but it's still pretty damn good.

I just commented on it on another thread, but save for the Seal and Brandy kind of shit, the soundtrack was pretty damn great.

I don't know if you should hang your head in shame, or if you should be raising your fists in triumph at that bon mot.

Yeah, it also had PJ Harvey, the Flaming Lips, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Mazzy Star.

@avclub-285910f5ff9f9eddf129c46fc2bc5982:disqus It's a myth, though it is a well-entrenched myth even in the military.  The 5.56 was adopted because it's light and still effective within 300 meters, which is the usual maximum range where most personal weapons have been fired in combat.

'Devolved'?

He had no problem admitting he was wrong.
Truly, he was a mensch.

Ooops, that was for @avclub-b3fe4f5a8793b5499e143cdf1253caff:disqus , Lurky.

He fixes things.
He makes things go.
