If the bartender was doing their job would be no need for a customer to be in that space. Obviously they aren’t so customers have to wait on them self.

I think you missed the point that the staff wasn’t doing their job thus the need for him to fill his own glass.

I am just going by the descriptions people give and that is exactly what it sounds like. Sounds awful. Guess that is why its popular only in a small section of the country where the people seem to enjoy bad food.
