I’m going to get a 40 inch 4k TV for the xX Xbox One Xx. I’m most excited about the deep black levels and HDR color support, though I wish I could get a 32-37 inch TV with HDR support. I like smaller TVs for gaming.

I keep seeing articles questioning why the Xbox one X needs to exist, and why MS is pushing resolution. Here are some thoughts from Kirk Hamilton on why resolution matters:

I found the new Horde mode to be significantly less fun than the one in Gears 3. Placing equipment in pre set places works better when the map is well designed. I played one too many games with idiots placing turrets behind obstructions, or people spending our group cash on dumb shit.

I’m looking forward to this one after skipping Primal.
