I’m fat, balding, named Steve, and from Mass. My buddy once called me Cold Stone Steve Boston and I’m still recovering.
Stupid me. I was, at first, supporting the owner’s general idea of, “Let’s just not” until I read that last paragraph. I completely understand the idea of wanting to be apolitical as an entertainment entity - the old “Republicans buy shoes too” thing - but you gotta stfu about everything or you’re just a friggin…
The had to edit a swear out of the promo video. This is so, so stupid. Either they knew exactly what they were getting and are doing damage control after a few helicopter parents whined that their little Jayden and Braydyn were offended or someone is far too naive to be an educator at the college level.
Same - that “where you get your pants” line had me rolling
I get the warrior mindset but do you truly think anyone thinks, “I’m equally talented at both sports, I’ll take the one that promises me a broken brain and a shorter lifespan!” that isn’t a protected (kicker/punter/QB) player?!?
I feel like the rookie wage scale is better than how it used to be - remember when Sam Bradford was one of if not the highest paid QB in the league and crippled his team’s cap because he was just fine and not a superstar?!? Guys shouldn’t be able to do that without proving their worth yet BUT I am all for shorter…
You’re 100% right but unlike Zeke who is the Cowboys offense (ditto LeVeon last year,) most people feel like Gordon is more a part of what the Chargers do and not the driving force behind it all. I hate to say it because I want everyone to get paid but Zeke and LeVeon are different than Gordon.
The salary cap is a set percentage of league revenues. It’s not like they just said, “$100M no matter what”
It really depends. It may be bad in general if you’re a Cowboys fan if, for example, by tying up that chunk of cap space they are unable to retain both Dak and Amari or another key player. I’d argue - and Jerrah has too - that Zeke is what makes those guys so much better and not the other way around so it’s worth it…
the Giants’ Saquon Barkley ($31.9 million) and the Jaguars’ Leonard Furnette ($27.1 million) ranked second and fourth all-time in contracted guaranteed money for running backs—in their rookie deals, just by virtue of having been selected in the Top 5.
To be fair, if you were to conceptualize what an announcer’s voice would sound like, it’s his.
I actually like this. I want to know who’s doing the right thing so I can frequent their establishment more. Itemize it so we can know who’s doing right by their people. Cared-for employees will naturally care more about their jobs and, by extension of that, my food. It’s win win!
This guy is such a cornball. We’ve already seen what happens when he’s the guy on a team. Good luck with your 6th seed.
yes
Don’t forget the schools themselves. The dining halls are still dreck, the teachers mostly the same, the educations every bit as good/bad as ever but the new school President needs to get a new library built or new dorms or some other glamour project that will “add value” and enable a further tuition hike.
This feels like she was just taking the scenic route to “I’d like to throw bees at him too lol” and did not stick the landing. She’s 73 - what are your grandparents like on social media?!?
Knowing her age, I kind of hope her followers don’t vote
It’s week 3, relax. Your ceiling is a mostly-ignored Wildcard Weekend loss in the Saturday afternoon slot.
It depends. I remember Sox fans booing the shit out of an accused domestic abuser about 15 years back when that came out and AB doesn’t have much pull here yet. We’re certainly not the front-running, but if Why Your Team Sucks has taught me anything, it’s that it’s not just us who are the most racist fans ever and…
