Rookie contracts are mostly fine. The issue is just one position and its extremely short longevity. Adjust RB rookie deals is the best move in my opinion. Just cut 1 year off of it. Same rules and all of that but if you can start getting really paid a year earlier, you’re less likely to end up in Bell’s spot.

The tag doesn’t depress salaries save for the most extreme examples (an absolute monster, clearcut best player in the league at his position type.) It’s the average of the top 5 players at the respective position and increases by like 25% the second time used and becomes the QB average the third time for position

That in addition to the distraction factor. I support Kap but it would have undeniably become a thing about his kneeling and stances and all of that Every. Single. Day. That’s just not worth it for a backup and he’s not good enough to be a starter any more in most cases. It’s honestly exactly what happened to Tebow

That may make sense but DeAngelo Williams looked like a monster early on last year too. That Conner does now toois not going to help Leveon.

Can I humbly point out that the play you reference didn’t win the game and it took someone else hitting the 3 pointer that actually won the title?

I said “as a liberal” to be clear that I don’t disagree with his policies but blanketly calling every Republican a POS is tough and doing it to servicemen is even harder. Sure, some of them are crazy dicks like every walk of life but yes, you get an extra benefit of the doubt when you volunteer to put your life on the

Stop it. As a liberal, I’m sure I wildly disagree with his policies even without researching them but the man was a SEAL for a decade. If anyone has the right to make policies that we disagree with without being called a POS, it’s people from the armed services like him.

If he’s your starting 5 you’re giving up 150 a game. Let’s be realistic about his limitations here.  Also, he was the 4th or 5th best player on last year’s Lakers but now he’s better than everyone from that team?

Your answer is right but the why is wrong.  LeBron is a superduperduperduperduuuuper man’s Randle.  They play the same position at this point.  Randle doesn’t compliment LeBron as well as others might and he doesn’t stretch the floor around LeBron.  Nice player, not a great fit there.

I’m convinced he just LOVED Tatum more than knowing anything about Fultz.

Can he be a fun a$$hole?  I think he’s probably is that but I don’t see an ounce of malice in him which factors in.

He deserved to have this be what it looked like at the time before Santonio Holmes and Big Ben capped one of the best games we’ve ever seen.

Stop it. That Bulls team still had Scottie Pippen and was in a MUCH tougher East. LeBron won a bad East by barely beating the Pacers whose best player is Victor Oladipo, destroying the Raptors as always, and then the Celtics whose 2 best players were injured and whose best remaining players were 21 or younger.

(removed for illiteracy)

Thanks for that mental image.  ugh

To be fair, had the Dodgers won we would have also been watching a bunch of assholes in a city full of assholes celebrate in asshole bars like a bunch of fucking assholes.

Don’t be willfully disingenuous. You know damn well they were talking about titles from the 40s and 50s, not stuff that teenagers can still remember happening.

Of course not but do you think Clinton wanted to hear from W whenever he called?  Or W from Obama?  It’s not that they want to, it’s just what you’re supposed to do in that office when you’re meant to be the voice of 300M+ people.  The policy stuff is awful and infuriating but it’s this stuff that just completely

This is infuriating. Forget the typical Republican bs he’s doing at a more extreme level, stuff like THIS is what scared me the most about him. This office has been somewhat apolitical at times where it had to be through all of history and now it’s not. This is the beginning of a slippery slope and I’m unsure how you

You missed the unnecessary shooting sleeve
