Sure but the GLeague doesn’t have guys who are foregoing college but are projected to be face of the league types.  If the next LeBron wants a quick $125K, that’s a far dicier proposition that I don’t really know the answer to for the teams involved.

Right, and Earl Thomas set the market for safeties 4 years ago.  He wants - and deserves - another big contract but it’s not the same as Leveon who’s yet to get even 1 long term, big $$$ deal.  Not even close.

This is where my sympathy is less than a guy like Leveon. What you should have said is “There goes Earl’s shot of getting another multi-year contract.” He set the market at his position four years ago and got PAID and is still making over $8M this year which isn’t far off market value for a Pro Bowl safety.

They are the product of a multi-billion dollar business. Of course they should.

Thing is, he has been and is being paid fair market value for his services. He’s in the top 5-7 paid players at his position in spite of setting the market 4 years ago
