5-$85M is plenty fair. Dude is a damn good defender and rim runner but that’s it. There will be times he has to be subbed out against smaller lineups and there is no ability to space the floor. He’s not a max player; he’s just not. It’s also not 2016. He’s not getting the Dante Exum contract or something. It’s not

Completely obligatory

He’s also probably better than Melo because he understands he has to come off the bench and won’t rock the boat about that anyway.

Outside of Deion, he was the best CB I’ve ever seen. Ever. Better than Jason Sehorn. Better than Rod Woodson. Better than Ronde Barber. Better than Champ Bailey. Better than Darrell Green. Better than Ty Law. Better than Peanut Tillman. Better than Sherman. Better than Aeneus Williams. Better than Patrick Patterson.

OH MY GAWD THEY JUST SIGNED MICHAEL BEASLEY

I have gone swimming at beaches where people have been attacked by great whites (I did not know it at the time, of course) and I LOVE going out far and over my head as I’m a strong swimmer. While space would be scarier, may be space, but which space is scarier definitely is the ocean because it’s a real thing everyone

you have no business referring to the four young dudes lucky enough to play with the GOAT as a “Death Lineup.”

he would actually deserve it

Think about this - is San Antonio really a worthwhile market outside of their current team/culture? Probably not as far as attracting key guys. I think they’re closer to Milwaukee than a major destination. All they have has been generational talents and an all time great coach. If they slip, I think they stay down.

This is all very fun. I can’t wait to see how Danny Ainge congratulates himself for not being a part of it.

Don’t do that. It’s not black or white, it’s green.

It’s kind of irrelevant since it has nothing to do with the advertising dollars, but he won’t even be the face of his own team in LA!

not for nothing but February is winter.  It’s always cold in Feb

I actually found the locals to be quite nice buuut I live in Boston and also have lived in Philly and spent quite a bit of time in NYC.  As always, context is everything.

In order: The 2nd pick in the draft who’s good but not Luka Doncic, a rotting corpse who was once really good at basketball, a rotting 20 year old with more major knee injuries than knees but coulda/woulda/shoulda been a monster and may still do juuuust enough to get a big contract then fade away forever after those

Your larger point is right on but McAdoo had plenty of chances over 4 years including winning 2 rings! After that he was on a 2-way for the Sixers and then Clippers last year. At that point, I think it’s clear he’s just not any good. But he did get NBA $$$ for a few years anyway!

That is very true.  I’m a diehard fan and the amount of times people have been traded then, like 2 weeks later, you hear “we’ve only had 1 practice since we got him” as a reason for a slower acclimation to the new team or dumbed down offense or whatever is crazy.

It’s basically unanimously agreed that colleges practice much, much more than the pros and also work significantly more on basic drills that the pros don’t necessarily have time to do due to the travel and 82 games vs. 40ish. Once you’re a pro, it’s assumed you don’t/shouldn’t need that.

No no no. Simmons schtick is cornballs, not chodes. While I hate the Extended Simmons Universe (GREAT label, btw, wish I could give you more stars) he and his friends seem just lame and full of themselves like a corny dad cracking himself up with his own dadjokes at a kid’s birthday party whereas the Stoolies seem

don’t forget self-hating. I’m there a lot for work and it’s often faster to walk than get an Uber. Just a sea of gridlock. LOVE visiting the city but goddman is navigating it outside of the subway obnoxious.
