The Warriors almost won the year before even without KD and with Steph recovering from a sprained knee and missing Draymond for a game there too. They didn’t have to do anything.

I’d be A LOT more open to that had the Heat won 4 straight or 3 outta 4 and not “only” 2 outta 4 with it taking a miracle (that LeBron wasn’t a part of those massive shots btw) to avoid it being just 1.
The answer is that Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge are very good, Al Horford has far more skill than his raw numbers indicate, and the kids they’ve drafted are coming along reeeeally well.
Celtics fan here who said the same thing when this site was all, “trade EVERYONE for Jimmy Butler. IT, Horford, and Butler can win a ring” which lololol no
Thanos typically loses at the end, right? So ya, LeBron is Thanos.
Stop it. The best player has a HUGE impact in basketball. This isn’t LeBron vs. Robert Horry but LeBron vs. MJ vs. Kareem, the ring count comes into play. It has to. It’s not the be all ,e nd all, but it absolutely matters some.
LeBron only has one ring outside of the Heat team that was one of the five most talented teams ever, and even then, barely 2 outta 4. His other ring was against a monster Warriors team but one that, if you remember, had Steph coming back from a sprained knee. He doesn’t really beat a lot of teams he’s not supposed to…
Stop with the “single handedly” crap. Kevin Love was a 20/20 monster in Minnesota who’s playing out of position a lot now to accomodate Cleveland’s style and still having pretty solid games INCLUDING 31 LAST NIGHT so, again, not single handed. Kyle Korver is one of the best spot up shooters of all time. JR Smith was a…
I’m a Celtics fan and HATE LeBron. I’m not burying him in the East til he’s eliminated. I made a few different bets with friends who thought Toronto was going to win. I’ve seen this movie too many times before. He’s Michael Myers and he’s not yet at Jamie Lee Curtis.
lol clearly you never watched Mike play or you’d know how foolish that is
Ya, he’s top 5 all time for sure, quite possibly top 3, but I don’t think he’s yet passed Kareem and he DEFINITELY hasn’t passed MJ
Yes, he won with his squad at full strength and Curry still battling back from a sprained knee. If we’re going to start picking things apart, that’s not a small thing.
Sure but the Warriors are undefeated vs. LeBron even without Durant when Curry isn’t battling back from a sprained knee.
No, he just didn’t get in trouble “because my family moves around a lot”
So that dude isn’t being nice but “You’re still the worst flopper in the NBA” leading to someone putting their hands on you shouldn’t be on the guy who only said words. That’s pretty ridiculous. Dude didn’t swear or use any actual, bad insults.
Yes! He was SPECIAL that year and the deep balls always seemed to connect. It wasn’t just with the legs.
I will always think that Heat team was one of the most talented ever. At the time, it was LeBron and Kobe as the very best players in the world, Wade a close 3rd, then a massive gulf to the next tier. Bosh was also putting up 20-10s on a division winner. That they all came together is enough. The current Warriors are…
that not a single person has mentioned Hendrix of Floyd in that top 5 discussion really hurts my soul.
Kyrie belongs on that peak-Gasol list too. He’s really, really good. But yes, as a whole, feels like people have underrated Pau a bit. That dude could play!
