Wow, what a powerful counterargument.
Wow, what a powerful counterargument.
Wow, powerful argument you’ve got there.
LOL! Treating everyone EQUAL and without regard to race isn’t white priveledge or racism.
The book in which this information is revealed wasn’t even released until the movie was in production.
Holy shit, fuck you to death.
Yeah, because identifying and fixing the broken people, instead of just taking the tools that allow them to go on a rampage away from EVERYONE, but leave the broken people walking around, is such a fucking stupid idea...
Oh, fuck off. You can’t crawl inside people’s heads and fix them as a matter of policy. You can ensure that those people don’t have access to a device that allows them to deal instant death from their fingertips.
I wondered how long it would take someone to say something incredibly stupid that shows a total lack of awareness. Congrats, it didn’t take you long at all.
Except the movie started production before the first book even released, let alone the second and third ones.
We’re getting a hard sci-fi movie with an all-female cast, but people still have to come up with some reason to be pissed off. There race of the main character is not only never mentioned in the book being adapted, it plays literally zero role in any aspect of the trilogy. This is nothing more than people looking for…
You know, part of the problem here is that white people who were brought up right were taught to, basically, ignore race
Fine, but it’s not all about you and your feelings. It’s about understanding the motivations of the enemy to better fight back against them.
The reason is that the hateful ones are beyond help. They’re drowning in their own hate, and they don’t care who knows it.
I think it’s more accurate to say she’s not one of the hateful bigots, just the far more typical ignorant, privileged bigots.
Man, how great would a VR mod for this experience be?
I’d like to see a version of this with standard sized RC cars, and played on a field roughly the size of a tennis court.
Where did I say he sucks ass? I just said he can’t stick the landing. It’s a pretty common criticism of Stephen King, and it comes directly from his style of writing (i.e. he doesn’t outline his stories before beginning, so he doesn’t really know where they’re going to end up until he gets there).
In this way, Africa is less of a real place and more of a fantastical reconstruction of what was taken away.
