1) I don’t understand the complaints about the menus. It took me all of 10 seconds to figure out, if I’m rounding up. They aren’t convoluted. That said, I do agree with the grumbling at the lack of an item lock preventing you from selling stuff.

Starfield is a 7.5/10 game and that’s perfectly fine.  Plus considering how games are nowawdays, I see Starfield 1.0 as a good foundation for Bethesda to continue to on in the coming years.

I was enjoying it for a while but CP2077 2.0 dropped and I stopped playing Starfield entirely. It was good, but as many, many others have said, Fallout 4 in space can only keep you hooked for so long, I still gotta finish the main story and the Crimson Fleet stuff, one day.

I played through the main story, Crimson Fleet, SysDef, and a smattering of side quests plus a little NG+ over around 70 hours. It was fun, but I hit the point where I’m ready to put it down and wait for a hopefully improved experience to see the rest of the game in a year or two. Just way too many baffling,

Far be it from me to take any joy in the perceived “failure” of a game—I really do applaud Bethesda for the staggering amount of hard work they put into what they created, and I think it’s quite special despite its flaws.

I was in the beta, and it just wasn’t that fun. the aesthetic was borderlands in space vibes which just doesn’t do it for me, not to say that can’t be done right but it felt dated and uninspired. just kinda fell flat on that level. gameplay was a mishmash of borrowed mechanics that didn’t quite feel cohesive. the zero

The problem with Starfield is that it is the worst thing a product can be - mediocre, mundane. It has things it does well, and things it does poorly, but its the exact same game that has been released by this studio so many times over, with all of the familiar jank that comes with their products.

Never in my life have I tried so hard to get any sort of enjoyment out of a game. But every slightly positive thing is marred by a bethesda formula that has not only been shattered into pieced but gets watered down more and more with every new game they make.

Bummer. I used to work for a Sega Studio, and Creative Assembly was always held up as the star pupil. I met a couple folks from there to do a joint panel at an event, really enjoyed hanging out for them. I even fondly remember their marketing peeps, who defied all negative prejudices I had for the people from that

Meanwhile, Hanako has been waiting at Embers for damn near 3 years

I’m pretty conscious of spoilers myself, but this one sounds like it’s in a similar vein to Far Cry’s various secret endings, like choosing not to handcuff Joseph Seed, or staying seated after Pagan Min leaves. I guess it doesn’t feel spoilery to me.

The problem is that there isn’t a single suit that is “good”, so you would need to have four different suits on you at any given point, which is like 60kg, in a game where we’re already overburdened all the damned time, just to go out onto a planet that is essentially empty of anything other than random rocks. If

This has been my impression with a lot of the game’s systems; I feel like a lot of them weren’t coming together to make the game fun so they just dialed it all back. Things like fuel, environments, etc all feel like they were intended to be a lot more meaningful than they really are. The game frequently feels

“Hey I know you are probably just _______ but uh, seeing someone with those features really bugs me”...

Reading this review through, along with some of other stuff I’ve heard, makes me look forward to giving CP another shot and experience the DLC itself.

This is just anecdotal, but I’ve been noticing more and more friends of mine that aren’t all that into technical stuff complaining about their Switch’s recently. Specifically, Fortnite is a getting a lot of flack. That game used to run pretty well, but as each update has iterated upon it, especially with the big one

Nintendo stock goes up and down with their successes and failures. Major price peaks correlating with the release of the Wii, release of the Switch, and then the Pandemic. The first and third peaks are pretty similar in price, but it will drop again sometime. Nintendo doesn’t get it right every time, hence Spencer is

ROG Ally is also $800 bucks. Nintendo isn’t going to make anything that’s going to cost above $400 bucks. That’s not the space they’re interested in.

And this is why I mainly game on PC. It’s nice to not have to worry about some “generational” barrier.

Square Enix has no excuse to complain about the MILLIONS of copies FF16 sold, after cashing those paychecks from SONY.
