Nintendo has never liked Smash tournaments: Sony’s ownership just made it easier for them to nix this one.

Attrition battles has always been in intentional option: if you want to safely shoot an enemy with a bow until it finally dies, or hit and run, you very much can, it just takes so long that it isn’t any more practical than just dying.

“Mafumafu addressed the allegations in a tweet last Friday obliquely referring to Rushia: ‘I became good friends with that person through games. Last night, I made contact to play a game together. I am sorry for the discomfort I caused to many people. It is not true that we live together.’”

Rita is an Idol Master reference:

Man, Master Chief was unmasked, like, a decade go.

Hard to resist going full Spike Spiegel.

In fairness, “the megacorporations are making everything worse” is kind of a key point, and the only reason you should really be helping them by the end is the hope of saving yourself.

In fairness to you, Total War: Warhammer I was an absolute mess. In fact, one of the most famous parts of the community, Legend of Total War, didn’t even like Warhammer until the Tomb Kings DLC in the second game.

The Chaos Realm stuff isn’t bad, per say, because you can still autoresolve the worst of it, but it very much feels like a demo more than an important game element.

Some of them do, but this was a poor showcase: the mod graphics look better in other areas, and the lighting changes more visibly during the day. The big change is just that the game looks less monotonous, because the areas are more visibly different.

I guess they’re upset more people aren’t playing the mobile game.

“One of the core concepts of Orientalism as a field of study is that even the most well-meaning scholars from the Western world are unable to present objective truths about the Orient. The Western view of the Orient is forever tarnished by the legacy of colonialism and fictionalized history.”

I care: the visuals give the game no identity of its own, whether that’s the deliberately bad looks of Valheim and the Bloodborne demake, or something beautifully dark fantasy like Elden Ring. It just looks...bland.

I guess writing was the last priority once again; really wish we had more “smart fun” games...

It’s a problem with the movie because the online aspect has no real stakes: her identity comes out and...what, she becomes a regular idol instead of an internet one? She has to make a new account somewhere else where she can sing again? Oh no.

Pokemon Arceus looks great for an early Playstation Vita title!

Wish I could *Star* this multiple times, because yeah, why not just have an entirely separate mode, with procedurally generated quests with effectively limitless hours of gameplay all over the city, if all people want is bland quests to do with their friends?

Some games that feel a bit more deserving:

Not an accountant, so I’m not entirely sure, but it actually seems worse than what is said here: the original 1993 terms only allowed for a 50% exemption, but that was increased to 100% around 10 years ago.

Because the sequel will either fix the flaws of the first, and thus make them more apparent, or keep them, in which case we’ll see how much the game stands on its own merits by judging how much the average person feels BotW 2 was over-hyped.
