Oh my god, I know exactly which parts you mean, I thought they were crazy, but I also thought that was the whole point. I was able to immerse myself into this sort of atmosphere.

This. The stories in Uncharted are sweet and atmospheric and fun, but Legacy of Kain is just a whole different level. I'd love to see an action-adventure game with a complex story like that.
