Stealing a purse no. Take my car, no. Even entering my house to steal a TV or laptop no. Threaten family members or myself, absolutely zero issues.

Hot take: I still find it a little weird that we’re all apparently fine with attempting to kill someone because he tried to steal your purse.

I realize this is only an excerpt, so I hope other parts of the book focus on the specific people in charge and sitting on the board who took part in the corporate whitewashing that Howard witnessed.

I think a lot of non-psychologists realize that separating kids from their parents is harmful to their kids. The only people who don’t are those who are trying to make themselves feel okay with family separation.
