Eh - the acting was pretty good outside of Finn - the issues are more around the messy writing, it being rushed, and cheap, Scott Buck, etc.

I thought Wally was great.

That's fair. The cage fights are rendered ultimately pointless too. What were they even for? Colleen really drops off on the back half because of the Hand, but by then Ward has picked up, so at least there's something still worthwhile to focus on.

Ward is the MVP, for sure, and now probably my favourite character in the whole Defenderverse.

I get that 'Damn girl, let's buy a house in Portland!' line stuck in my head all the time.

I too thought this was the joke.

Iron Fist might be the undisputed bottom of the pile, but it's not as terrible as some say.

I can't say she's my favourite, but I share this concern - actually, with the way all the Core Four are set up going into next season, there's a danger they'll all get dragged into their respective family dramas and away from each other - Hiram's at least had a lot of ground work, so I'm fairly confident Veronica will

It does wonders for Veronica's character, too - I feel like they started to flounder towards the back end when she was a bit adrift from Betty and too focused on her father.

I'm going to need to get 'I overstand' into my regular rotation. Also 'BUS LIFE'.

Honestly, one of the best things about this show was it kicking the 'iconic' love triangle to the curb from the get-go in favour of Betty and Veronica's friendship.

I've always loved Bobby, and seeing him tear up at the sight of Laura with her theme was a punch in the heart.

Kimmy suddenly having both of the guns in the cold open was amazing. Her expression was particularly fantastic work by Kemper.

I'd have a hard time disputing any of that. Octavia is by far my least favourite character - mostly because I agree she's been turned into some unstoppable badass whose murder-y tendencies get treated as 'cool' even when every other character gets put through the wringer for everything they do - and I don't find that

Mind if I ask why you won't be watching next season?

Clarke and Bellamy's largely unspoken, mutually respectful relationship was the thing that really sold me on this show - this season did well by getting that back on track (it benefits both characters, but especially Bell this season after the big writer fumble last season). I think this episode handled them

Yes she should. Also his place in Iron Fist. Actually, just scrap Iron Fist and move Colleen and Ward to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and then fold UKS into Defenders.

Why choose?

What is the AV Club if not a place to talk about the good bits of largely forgettable mediocrity?
