*cough* and in the films *cough*

"Joseph Gilgun is legitimately a madman."

Having been bored to death by shooters in recent years, Overwatch is first I've played in ages that actually felt fun and different and diverse. Interesting cast! Lots of variation in play styles! Encouraging team work! The ability to throw dragons at people!

Well, having never read the comic, I checked this out for Joe Gilgun (who is fantastic, as I expected) and I was thoroughly impressed.

Oh good lord. You're right.

Oh, I have no issue with the potato being Mexican, I just find it unnerving that it is a sentient vegetable promoting the eating of its own kind.

I finally got round to watching 'The Hateful Eight' this weekend. I am… conflicted about it.

Well that's true, but it just feels so British, and a lot of our stuff doesn't translate all that well overseas. I understand its popularity in the UK, but it also does remarkably well internationally, which I find more baffling.

I am always astounded by the fact that Peppa Pig is this global cultural juggernaut.

The score had me all caught up in this and I was super excited…. and then Ewan Mcgregor started talking and I couldn't stop laughing.

De Staat are fantastic and deserve so much more love; I caught them randomly at a festival and they've ended up being one of my favourites.

I live in hope every season of Penny Dreadful will be leading up to a Monster Mash.

Eva Green has a real knack for making herself utterly terrifying.

Random thoughts: I loved the little Hannibal-esque flashback effects when Caliban was remembering. This show is lucky as hell to have Rory Kinnear, who has been doing a good job with the character even when he's been less likable. His story this season is shaping up very nicely, though.

Whilst I don't agree with you that it's the best, I really liked Iron Man 3 and I feel it gets unfairly maligned.

Yeah, I see this. Fight Club is very intrinsically turn of the millennium, but the way we view activism (and a lot of other themes of the movie, like the reconstruction of masculinity, etc ) has shifted pretty significantly since then.

Well, for me, it felt like they were stacking up the allusions to Fight Club (and to a lesser extent, American Psycho) so they could cut them down.

Dammit, I know they're hiding what happened to him, but I will be devastated if he's gone.

I definitely felt it built beyond that, and in my opinion, turned that whole fantasy on its head.
