"This was like Justified meets The Big Lebowski."

Potentially nonsensical question but: does this show, tonally, share any similarities with 'Justified'?

God help me, I… I actually think 'J-Court' looks like he might be great in this.

Now there's the Captain Positive we know and love!

You don't get to call Britta the worst!

I mean, this trailer wasn't amazing, but at the least this film looks like it's going to be an entertaining hot mess, rather than a dour one, which is pretty much all I wanted at this stage.

I'm going back and forth on the reviewer's point that ' the law means so little on the show'. Just a few episodes ago Matt specifically pushed for Frank to be arrested, saying to the officer that he had to show that the law works and that their way - both his own brand of vigilanteism and Frank's - doesn't.

Completely agree on that scene, and I can definitely see that reading of the show's position. I'm looking forward to seeing how this discussion develops as we move through the episodes, because I feel without seeing the story as a whole its basically impossible to draw a proper conclusion on what the slow is /isn't

I'm not sure they are conflating Matt's view with the show's - just noting that as the protagonist the audience is geared to root for him. Of course, just because we're presented with a perspective doesn't mean we're being asked to agree with that perspective - and the show doesn't have to spell out its moral

You can (spoilers!) become a Judge at like… 13 right? Seems legit.

I'm sad I can't upvote you more. You've put it much better than I could have.

I don't understand it either. I never felt like I was supposed to approve of the Punisher, or that what happened to him was supposed to make what he does right.

Both the Frank and Elektra sides of this episode worked like gangbusters for me, this episode balanced them reasonably well.

Yeah, his involvement increases my interest/faith in this happening considerably. The Guest was awesome.

I agree, even with the incongruous Dani Callifornia theme tune!

Thank you for the actual spit take I just did. Stealing that phrase for future use!

I could believe like, a savvy 27/28, sure, but 22 is absurd. Basch is 36! That's borderline reasonable.

Best music in the game! I'm glad the Dissidia series rightly recognised that a)Laguna was the obvious choice to include as the second hero from FF8 and b) he was bringing his damn battle theme with him.

Laguna is freakin' great. Painfully uncool, and crazy, but great.

I mean, yeah, it's ludicrous he wouldn't have even tried dropping some obvious hints, but I always kind of figured he was just too terrified to say anything out of a fear of being rejected by his friends.
