To throw my unwanted opinion in the ring, I actually do agree with Trump saying that NASA (and really SLS) was a shit show 4 years ago. Now, I don’t think the turnaround is at all a result of Trump, but rather the progress of SpaceX.

The Jalopnik Elon hate is always so strong..
I usually love Torch’s articles, but this one seems surprisingly poorly researched.
Well, you see, Musk tweeted something silly, so any possible upcoming issues with SLS need to be ignored.
SLS is definitely a thing that will happen and something that won’t be cancelled. Definitely.
“Space Karen”? Fuck you. All those other programs WILL be great, but SpaceX is the ONLY US flag spacecraft rated for human flight. Maybe eventually the rest will catch up, till then, more like “Space Kamala”
They didn’t even leave it up until the end of November like they said they would! They gave us false hope by keeping it up past midnight and then pulled the plug. I fully expected to not be able to post anymore, but I thought we would at least be able to see old posts for a while. Those dirt scoundrels.
soooooooooooooo, oppo’s gone now!
The Guardian had a very interesting tidbit about one of those marchers:
Certainly looks like a better solution than a PIT maneuver.
What if the only thing I took away from the show was that the wallpaper was good and that the show was a nice distraction from everything else happening in the world?
I binged the show this weekend in my post election hangover (also- in the case of Saturday- my actual post election drunkenness on the bottle of liquor store champagne I picked up to celebrate).
Your logic would make sense if Hydrogen was chasing a static target.
But like new nuclear designs trying to compete against green energy, hydrogen is chasing a technology that is in the prime part of economies of scale and refinement/improvement, where the cost/performance parts of the equation improve at 10%+ per…
From my understanding, the Indians ran street-legal California-smog-compliant engines. There’s a lot of speed out there to be found.
Give racers a set of rules and they’ll creatively bend them anyway. These folks are serious about their racing, and wanted to make it a real spectacle. I think they succeeded. Next year I fully expect to see scrapes on the bags through the corners.
I’d be down for a supermotos series. Maybe make it like Stadium Super Trucks and add a couple jumps on the straights????
I believe it’s because the tuatara is said to have the fastest evolving DNA of any animal, so I guess the point is that they’re distancing themselves from their hideous first car.
What’s crazy is from the cockpit video I saw with telemetry it was still accelerating pretty well at the 331mph. Webb stated in an interview that it could have easily gone faster but the cross winds were higher than expected and the car was being pushed around too much on the narrow road.
Amazing how this movie is getting so much fury yet Dance Moms went on for 9 seasons, and only got canceled due to racist comments by the Instructor. That being said thats what you get netflix for your bullshit method of picking posters. Had they just used the normal french poster, movie would have gone under the radar…
Does Texas have child pageants? If so, they’re contributing to the problem that is being illustrated in the film and there could be a line drawn between those prosecuting Netflix and those that don’t want their pageantry’s true underside examined by others.
