That was obvious.

Come on she’s 15. Let her pretend the world is simple for a bit longer.

#hateanddarkness is indeed a much more badass hashtag

I feel like this article would land better if Jezebel hadn’t also posted an article yesterday night that kind of mocked her for this. Different writers, I know, but still feels a little inconsistent.

If it makes you feel any better, Jennifer Aniston’s great skin is 99% down to a.) superior genetics and b.) incredibly expensive and invasive celebrity skincare procedures that normal people cannot access (much less afford).

Can we leave this child alone and not take her down like Jezebel did with Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift, and all the other woman this website has gone after for no apparent reason.

This kid is going to have a very difficult time growing up. My heart goes out to her.

I won’t say it wasn’t forced, but I kind of appreciated some of the decisions they made. It was a little performative, I thought, seeing the Fab 5 gush over low-rider culture and commission a street artist to paint Deanna’s new office and present her with a new pair of hoops... but I definitely have some extended

I have been feeling the same way, but enjoying it.

Karamo actually has come out and said he haaatttteeesss the culture tag but the producers made him stick with it because it was the same as the first season.  I think his preference was like life coach or therapist (hes a licensed therapist and social worker!) but they were like... nope.  They also cut out a lot of

I don’t mean this in a weird way, but I do have a lot of meaningful relationships and emotional exchanges in my life and I STILL feel that emotional release every single episode.

I reject the assumption that “bonded for life” means you have to have like... a daily friendship exchange with someone. I’m bonded for life with people I haven’t talked to in years. There are strangers I’ve met out at a bar that I feel like I bonded to for life even though I’ve never seen them again.

I agree, it felt super fake to me too. They have always been heavy handed with the wokeness and after school special vibe but this season was tooooo much. It seemed like they were forcing it when people just needed a makeover! The dance teacher did not GAF about being warmer with anyone. She just wanted to look good

I agree, that part was like right after he admitted to Karamo (and really for the first time to anybody) that he was experiencing depression. I don’t think he truly thinks they’re BFFs.

Yeah, I can kind of see that. It definitely felt like the other seasons were a little more low-stakes. Usually the reveals at the end are centered around a date night or family dinner or something instead of, like, hosting a fundraiser for your nonprofit.

Yeah, I didn’t know that specifically about him, but after two episodes, the “Culture” tag felt really wrong. He’s the Deanna Troi of the group, basically. But I get why they did it - “Counseling” or “Psychology” would probably feel too direct and uncomfortable for a lot of people. Maybe “Philosophy” would be a better

Full disclosure: I really like Tan and I think Antoni was maybe at his best/least obnoxious in season 4. But of the Fab 5, those two definitely struggle the most with calibrating their TV personas. In more relaxed interviews, Tan comes across as down to earth and personable, but I think he’s much less comfortable when

Something just felt off to me about all of season 4. Am I the only one?

The “Did we just become best friends?” line was a reference to Step Brothers. I think it was more that after an intense moment, he was trying to introduce some levity by referencing a movie about how two people bond in a silly way. Really, he was deflecting more than he was connecting after their bonding moment.

In re: “culture”, Karamo has background as a social worker and that’s essentially what he’s doing on the show. They just didn’t want to freak people out by using the phrase “social worker”.
