So it was like, imagine the Apple Mac hadn’t won the tech war, and the Sony Walkman had.

Sure it's papering over the realities of the studio's intransigence, but if a happy side effect is more exposure for Strange New Worlds? That's awesome.

All of these fashions would probably be pretty amazing if you could, you know, see them in the movie in which they appear. Instead everything is either filmed in GlaucomaVision or that thing where the actors are violently overlit from behind.

A movie entirely in infrared? Isn't there a faster way to just burn out my retinas? The concept sounds horrendous and that still does nothing to convince otherwise. Gimmickry for its own sake?

This may be what kills AI in the coming year or couple of years. People will make AI artwork but can’t make any money off of it.

It’s an astonishing point to note that The Boy and the Heron already came out in Japan, pulled in ~$40 million ... and didn’t get a single still, trailer or promotion. Intentionally, the choice was to just release it on date X and that was it. I guess for the international release they’re gonna push some marketing

They’d make TONS of money if they’d come back down to earth and realize...no one gives a shit about your hardware. It’s your first party titles people care about

This is hilariously off the mark.

if only you were around to tell him not to make movies, huh? Think how much better his career would’ve gone!

Yes, it does.  If you write for the AV Club... or Jezebel... or the Root... or Gizmodo...

“...which caused controversy after film’s the first trailer dropped...

Do people whining on Twitter mean controversy is caused?

And if he went in with his tiny nose everyone would scream about his Gentile-washing of Bernstein’s heritage.

Well if his family won’t be outraged the whole internet is here to be outraged for them!

Like, fuck JK Rowling and her stupid racist fantasy world, and especially fuck people who claim to be allies but bought and played this game anyway, but it’s 6 months post-release and this game is a single-player RPG. I don’t think it’s a sign of anything that a lot fewer people are playing it every day.

Gadot’s a dynamic, compelling performer? She sounds exactly the same in every single role, monotone and with barely any emotion. It worked ok for Wonder Woman as a woman out of time and place but when you hear the same voice in other roles all it proves is she has zero range.

She is not a good actor at all. She is

“I was only pretending to suck” is a perfectly valid thing to do for the sake of a twist

What *isn’t* valid, IMO, is leaving the revelation of that twist for two seasons later when casual viewers will have likely forgotten who this dude was to begin with.

It seems to me that the people involved in the production of this show should stop taking questions and doing interviews, as it either makes them sound stupid or is deeply insulting to fans.

I absolutely HATE the idea of a musical. Just hate it- I also hated anytime I got cornered into watching a Disney movie because of the singing. The idea of a Star Trek musical feels anathema to me.

I think the musical episode is fine, but they should have waited to do it in season 3. This is the third “stunty” episode out of 10. You can’t make a cake all out of frosting.

Look, I recognise I’m the minority here and it’s a positively heretical to say, but blergh, a musical episode of SNW? Joss Whedon has yet another thing to apologise for. I may just pass on ep 9 then, read the Wiki later in case of actual story development.
