I'm so glad Vidalia got another appearance. She's gone from having had a single line and a few seconds of screentime to being a whole fleshed-out character of her own, giving insights into Amethyst's past all the while.

Yeah, Onion genuinely seemed like he was trying to be friendly here. He's got a rather weird view of friendship, but that comes from him being a weird kid. And the scene with him giving Steven the Explorer Gal was just genuinely adorable.
That last sentence is the most beautiful idiom I have ever heard.
I found it incredibly funny. Ridiculously so. Belly laughs all the way through.
