nooooo mah cheefs

Ahhhh good call, I hadn’t thought about the distinction between released and leaked.

If anything, that’s more reason to not include everything in each new Pokemon game. The effort to playtest and balance would increase exponentially with each generation, if everything were retained. No company can maintain that indefinitely, and still remain in business.

Can’t tell if this is satire or posted by a 12-year-old.

I’ve played Pixelmon, and frankly, it’s just not very good. I feel kinda bad saying that, knowing how much time must have gone into developing it, but it’s just not. Admittedly it’s probably mostly because it’s trying to shoehorn Pokemon into a very un-Pokemon-like game, but the thing is, it could have been better.

I mean, that’s kind of like saying “I can’t get behind Mario’s hat-throwing mechanic because it’s likely to get left behind in the next generation of Mario games.” We know this is how the Pokemon franchise works now, where new mechanics get introduced and a lot of them don’t survive, especially battle mechanics. It’s

In some of these games... Yes. (shudder)

I would buy this sequel.

I get what you’re saying, and it makes sense. I do have a tendency to get overly hyperbolic sometimes and will watch for that. Mea culpa.

1. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t say the list above qualifies as “informing” a decision. It’s names, studios, and short synopsises. There’s no information there that provides any other kind of value judgment.

See none of this applied to the articles they used to do here. NONE of them were shounen, and most of them were unique, artistic, and heartfelt. Hence why I was asking for the old lists to come back.

It just becomes cognitive overload for some people. What ends up happening is a lot of people give up partway through the list because of the sheer amount of information. It’s good information, but it’s a LOT. So as a result, they don’t end up watching anything new because they’ve given up on the whole process.

I really miss the “Best Anime of This Season” articles that Kotaku used to do. They used to lead me to a lot of great gems. These articles are borderline useless, to me at least; it’s just a huge diarrheal dump of everything coming out with no way of knowing if any of it is worth watching.
