People call it what they want. I’ve never, ever heard it pronounced anything other than “N.E.S”

We recently bought one of these, and while it has literally saved my ass on a couple of occasions (I once ate a spoonful of 1M+ scoville sauce for charity) these cheap ones have almost pressure-washer like nozzles on them. Just as a warning to everyone who is about to buy one, don’t turn it up all the way or it’ll

I wore three coats up to Canada in order to keep them out of my checked bag. Nobody cared. Once on the plane I took them off and tucked them over my carry-on under the seat.

Had a Roomba. Got dogs instead. They turn dropped food into hair and keep you warm at night.

I ruined two Quadrajet throttle plates that way a month ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the screw out properly :(

My nephew is obsessed with Olaf, so I can understand why they’d think it’d be a good idea to make something like this, him being one of their most popular characters. I don’t understand forcing you to watch it before their movie, though. Such a far cry from some of the older shorts, like the chess guy or the birds

That’s fantastic, thank you.

Thought for a second that this was a map of current wildfires.

Many do. Sometimes foods will include other mixers to help their litter not be so awful but that’s about the only benefit, as far as I’ve read. Both of our cats get horribly sick if there’s anything other than meat in their food... long story short we had to replace a baseboard. Wasn’t pretty.

We had a similar experience. It’s also worth noting that the caloric content of foods can vary widely - we have a couple of giant breeds that have trouble keeping weight on (they’re young) and were burning through a 50lb bag of their old food every week, as they were eating 12+cups a day. Their new food gives them the

For what it’s worth - we have four dogs and two cats, many of which are long-haired and shed a lot - we’ve found that a shop-vac works far better on our predominantly hardwood floors and cost us about half as much.

Calibre works great, has a plugin to rip DRM off of my kindle books as well.

Then again, I use a 1st generation Kindle and a Sony, both of which I got on eBay for less than $20, so maybe I’m just used to doing it the hard way?

I always seem to get used to a particluar cat, and my allergies go away almost completely unless I get some cat directly in my eye. Takes 3-6 months, verified with 5 separate cats now.

Am I mistaken in thinking your gut bacteria is in a constant state of flux anyway? So rather than eating a consistent ‘personalized’ diet, it’s better to eat a variety of foods, correct?

Not always - I use older laptops, etc for home servers. Some of them hardly draw any power. My total draw for 4 towers and 2 laptops is around 224W, or $162.97/year on my 8.3c/kwh power plan.

I have an old-ish thinkpad here that uses ~30W when it’s not doing much. That’s only $22 a year or so, if you leave it on 24x7.

It’s not that I have a problem with bidets, it’s just not something I consider a necessity. It’s also not something I ever really think of on the rare occasion that I do have an extra $30 sitting around.

Until now. This is the longest I’ve ever spent thinking about a bidet. I wonder how many bidets have been bought as

I think you might be right, but I’m not sure. I moved 1200 miles from anyone I know except for my wife, and the only people I’ve met since then have been to do with hobbies. Even then, I have a terrible time getting together with them. I’m the only human that has set foot in my garage in 2017 so far. Really not sure

Most of the bars around here are either full of students or alcoholics, so I haven’t had much luck - but I’m glad it’s working for you.

There are plenty of expensive to maintain Japanese cars as well. The newer Lambo stuff is half VW anyway, and most modern Toyota’s are made in the US now, so that argument may have been true 30 years ago, but not anymore. Now it’s more of a case of “don’t buy cars made of titanium and carbon fiber if you don’t want to

Same - here there aren’t a ton of lady bugs to “move in” even if my habitat is great for them, at least not in time to fix a problem like that, so I could see myself buying some to jump start the local population.

But... is that a good thing? Should I be worried about messing life up for some other bugs in town? Or
