Why was the first engine replaced? That’s my question.
You need more v8's my friend :)
It was a great museum. If you look up on their history they probably had the first CVT. Unfortunately it didn't carry forward. It was used in some more recent F1 cars, at least as a prototype. I believe it was banned for "being to fast" allegedly at least. Now DAF only makes Semi trucks and engines. Their car history…
The Twizy F1 looks sweet!
yes. That sure is a story. I'm not sure what point you were driving towards?
I agree. His parents should have taught him to do the right thing and wear his seat belt. Or his friends should have insisted he wear it. Any number on people could have told him to wear it. But the government is not one of them
I appreciate all emt, fire fighters, police in doing their job to help us. But it's your job. Laws aren't made to stop every single person from dying. And saying " think of me in this one specific situation" shows your narrow world view. Emts and others who respond are paid to do that and trained to. They know that…
Luckily it's a free country so we are all entitled to our own opinions.
Perhaps that'd make cars safer? As I said, I think we should wear seat belts. But does everything need a law?
I can see both sides of the argument. As I pointed out, you should wear it. Just shouldn't need a law for it. In my opinion.
Agreed. While it can be tempting to be judgemental of others, if we have the dialogue you ususally find more in common than not. Sometimes if you build the relationship you can even influence them to behave what you consider more civilized.
and that's fine. it's also how you learn. learn by doing! but if you aren't comfortable that's ok also. I've just had enough of the built not bought guys
Just about every car had something you didn't make yourself. Why be a hater when someone pays a skilled mechanic to build him a car?
a little asymetry can look nice. my corvette with the rollover
I'm all for following the rules. Doesn't matter if you win if you're cheating. that being said, if the rules are written in such a way that you will be out of spec if you follow them, that's also something that needs to be changed.
That is a beautiful car. Current bid was $24k when I looked. However nice it is it it worth driving a car that old for that much? A new Boss mustang is probably faster (or even a base mustang). Probably. And with a warranty. I have thought of used super cars many times. http://mywheellife.com/2014/07/17/14-…
It's a car set to go into production in 2015. If you follow the links you'll find an article I wrote about it or here is their site. http://www.eliomotors.com/
Cool! Is one of those yours or are they just your favorite?
Thanks for the welcome! How many do you have? My father has a couple (in a bit rougher shape, uncle has 3 and a cousin has an LS, so we're pretty deep in them! But lots of other cars also)
