This reminds me of the SNL “TJ Hooker” satire, when William Shatner leaps on the hood of the bad guy’s car and proceeds to ride there for 20 miles, stopping for tolls, gas, etc.

Are these engines CARB or EPA compliant, or for “track / off-highway use only?”
I left my Mini Cooper’s top down while in the store with my 8 y/o son. We came out to find a deluge (South Florida). At first the car seemed ok aside from being wet. Then as we pulled out of the parking lot, the horn turned on. And stayed on...for the 3-4 miles through traffic to get home.
I would happily bring my 1997 M-Edition in BRG over tan (with left hand steering, of course) to Mazda for a refresh. Although it doesn’t need much in the mechanical area aside from a timing belt in 5k miles, the paint and body have 20 years of dings and wear. I’ll be first in line when they announce a US program.

It’s important for all Jalopnik readers to be continually reminded what a lying, immoral sack of excrement Trump is.
You clearly do not understand what the ACA is or how it works. Instead you’ve chosen to post talk radio sound bites you’ve heard. You also have no real understanding of what employment means to the vast majority of Americans. Instead you post slogans a Libertarian fantasy world of endless job opportunities where…

I think President Trump should make the Iranians pay for the wall between us and Mexico.
Aren’t you playing his game by publishing this shit? He probably got 1,000's more hits on his videos because you did.

Every significant automotive journal I read recognizes the mid-front technicality. There’s no reason Jalopnik shouldn’t too.
Something similar to this has been developed. Instead of a spring though, the “storage device” is a flywheel. A flywheel can store energy and it can be “recharged” during braking. I’m not advocating the tech, but it has replaced batteries in some applications:
Barf bags have worked for airlines for decades. I particularly like the handy fold ’n seal feature that lets you close the bag when you’ve finished barfing.
Mr. McParland, I enjoy the other writers here on Jalopnik quite a bit. But your columns are where I look for useful car information that I can really use. I read every one of them, and use the “history” links to go back and catch any that I may have missed. Thank you.
Brought to by your neighborhood GMC dealer. “Drive a Yukon home...TODAY!”
Selena really isn’t aging well...especially compared to the Honda.
Is there an easy way to tell if a motorcycle is male or female? I mean while you’re in public, of course.
If the donor M5 had 9,500 miles, this swap might (might) make sense. But swapping an almost 100K mile engine is a bad idea.
The author of this article seems to be skeptical about the theft. “Claims” the car was stolen, “alleged theft.” What’s really going on here?
