god fucking damn it, the pull-out method. As a public health worker, I just have to cringe.

Yep. If only Pinkham would return with Behind Closed Ovens!

I’m praying for the resurrection of Milli and Kitchenette if Jez hopefully does survive. I miss those two so bad.

I am a fan of the dewy look/K beauty/Glossier/Milk/etc, but I personally have to draw the line at eye gloss. I feel like if I wore it I would look like I cut out pieces of a Silpat and glued them to my eyelids. Not really even digging it on the model here. But! I do see the merits of eye gloss in the context of making

I came for the snark but stayed for the feels.

Does she think rapists spend all their non-rape time kicking puppies and twirling their mustaches while cackling?! I suppose it’s more comforting to believe that evil is always legible.

YOU’RE BACK! <3

Uhh saying she should seek professional help suggests that these things only happen with people who aren’t getting help. That’s pretty condescending to the tons of people who have attempted suicide/run off/had episodes/disassociated/etc. while getting help/treatment. And the “it works” is also condescending because

What the hell are you talking about? They’re talking about men with cancer and veterans who had their junk blown off in combat and other people who have been in disfiguring accidents. Not dudes who were injured by an attempted assault victim.

I remember being around 10 years old and seeing Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure for the first time and thinking the scene where Bill finds out Ted isn’t dead, they hug and then both say “fag” at the same time was the funniest thing ever. My parents quickly disabused me of that notion the first time I tried that word

Oh my goodness, I didn’t mean to sound like I was attacking you! It’s more in general, every time there’s reporting on it, it gives me the icks, because it IS such a private situation. Whatever the reason she has the conservatorship, and whatever the reason it is unusual, it’s private, you know?

Geez. Just trying to answer your question.

I get the general icks from anything to do with reporting on this issue. This is a private medical situation for Ms. Spears, and it is none of our business, ESPECIALLY since she has not complained or tried to change the situation.

What’s interesting about it is that, unless it is a part of end-of-life care (well, and often then too), typically conservatorships are very short-term. Six months to a year. I was surprised this wasn’t mentioned as it’s the whole reason this one is very unusual.
