Interesting that the Piano isn't that widely seen/loved in New Zealand, probably because we're all sort of embarrassed by its stereotype-reliant treatment of the Maori characters on its edges.

I'm a teenager. My friends and I often have movie nights, but if I want to watch Citizen Kane or the Third Man then I have to do so alone. Black and white's a pretty big factor in their refusal to watch older films, though it could just be one symptom of the wider problem (outdated production techniques).
