They are totally insane, in a fun way. I dabble in the tourism biz, so if you ever consider visiting, I'll see if I can help you land a great deal.

Well, there are just so many foods, and lumpia (the kind made with toge) is such an everyday snack item that it slips through the cracks of the mind. It's good comfort food, and on occasion, great.

Easiest way to do it is have Usain pop in as an alternate-universe Flash named… The Bolt.

I agree that Rey feels like a cipher. But Rey and Kylo Ren gave stirring emotional performances nowhere matched by anything in Rogue One. That said, I'm pretty meh on Awakens and found Rogue the more satisfying watch.

Bulalo, crispy pata, Cebuano lechon, Batangas lomi, Bacolod chicken inasal… and all the desserts, the kakanin and stuff.

Despite having eaten in Jollibee countless times in my life, I've never tried their halo-halo. They're not really known for it. (he Jollibee chain did buy out Chowking, a Chinese fast food brand that, weirdly, makes a very popular halo-halo…. I bet the American Jollibee is actually serving Chowking-style halo-halo.

Jollibee is oddly representative of the Americanized popular culture of the Philippines… crassly commercial yet weighted with fundamental Filipino values and a sense of local we-done-good-ness. As a Filipino, I am annoyed by Jollibee's Barney-like mascot and the weirdly nationalistic angle of its marketing. Yet it

Yeah, I thought that was goofy as hell. Really didn't convey the effect they were going for. A lot of Rogue One's "darker" scenes were as weak sauce as the Starkiller massacre. I really like the film, but for gut-wrenching stuff I'd go with Empire and Awakens.

There was a Reply All podcast episode that touched on this a bit… basically, people with positive outlooks can't relate well to people who have negative outlooks, and vice versa…. even in cases when a person goes from being one to the other (negative to positive, in the case discussed). Negative people get caught in

You gotta practice your posing. Posing is surprisingly hard. For most people, it doesn't feel natural, and they look stiff in posed shots. It's a bit like acting, really… it gets into a similar headspace.

She is 7 and she really enjoyed the movie. She's a sensitive kid, too, though there is a side of her that can enjoy crassness and cartoon violence (neither of which is prevalent in Rogue One). She loved the spaceship fights and didn't feel the weight of the ending… though neither did I, for that matter. I love the

Our girl (7) watched it with us last night and she had a great time. I don't think the deaths really registered with her, but she was stoked about the space battles. Anyway, lots of kids movies feature death… I was barely paying attention to Ninja Turtles, but I believe Splinter bit it in that one.

I hardly ever take our kid to the movies, and she doesn't bug us about it. We did all go see Rogue One last night. I honestly do want to take The Seventh Ninja to see movies more often, but I find it hard to squeeze in moviegoing in our lives. I'm also wary of the consumerist messages in kids' entertainment, and we

Talking to some beautiful stranger, that's the advanced class. You're inviting failure by setting the bar too high, too soon. Work up to it. Work on your self-esteem to start with, develop yourself, get into work and hobbies and education and reading and all kinds of things that will make you a fuller, more

War Horse!

He needs to start a new column, something like This Gets a "Passable".

I mean, Bruce Wayne has had a good run. If they decide to put someone else in the cowl permanently, it doesn't erase 75 years of Batman stories. I don't see that happening soon, but I would like to see alternative, diverse takes on Batman, Superman and others, possibly in non-canon mini-series, one-shots, or

The two things you speak of are not mutually exclusive. I love the classic characters and The New Frontier is one of my favorite DC animated titles. At the same time, I would like to see more diversity because… well, personally, I don't want my daughter growing up seeing mostly white dudes have all the fun of saving

Maybe he's just kidding. Even if he's not, act as though he is kidding. If he mentions the posts, thank him for all the laughs you got outta them.

But then we wouldn't have Caity Lotz wearing the hell out of all kinds of period outfits!
