Good heavens this is terrible. ArenaNet should be ashamed, siding with the toxic misogyny of certain online gamer groups against its own hardworking employees. A timely reminder that the gaming world remains persistently hostile to female voices.

This week I’m playing…
I'm right there with you, man. Hollow Knight left me a little cold at the start, but I've fallen head over heels for it now. It has the environmental design and tone of Dark Souls or Metroid combined with the inherent pleasantness and accessibility of a 16-bit platformer. All wrapped up in a gorgeous presentation that…
July 2018 will be a challenging one for my wallet. I'll be picking up Octopath Traveller, Captain Toad, and the Mega Man X Legacy Collections. I'm also planning to grab Runbow and Bomb Chicken on Switch.
I’m actually playing on Switch. Rumor is the 3DS version is a little better but I use the standard controls anyhow. My wife likes the cutscenes, so I opted for the version you can play on TV.
I’m not too worried about it. I haven’t played it before, but I do have a relatively spoiler-free ending guide bookmarked for just his reason. To be honest, I'll be happy with the game's standard ending.
This weekend I’m playing...
That’s too bad that Yoku’s Island Express isn’t working out for you, Matt, but your reasoning is sound. I ended up loving it (finished it off last weekend as I needed something cheerful to look at as the US slides towards an authoritarian nightmare - looks like I should have made it last longer!). In any case, the…
I’d say that Celeste is my Game of the Year so far, but there are so many of these I haven't tried! I'm looking forward to God of War, Minit, Iconoclasts, Into the Breach and Vampyr at some point though.
Oh my goodness, I forgot to mention Quest of Dungeons. A genuinely top-notch roguelike dungeon crawler somehow made by a single guy in Portugal. So great.
There is a wishlist function - that’s the only way I remember things I want! You can click ‘Add to Wishlist’ near the payment button for any given game.
Is Revengeance on the Steam sale? Because that's one I need to pick p and 7.50 is a wonderful price!
My wishlist notifications are the only thing that gets me to the Steam sale. Since I got a Switch, I pretty much only want to play indies on that anyway.
I’m currently playing through a few meaty single player experiences (Persona 4 Golden, Sushi Striker, and Yoku’s Island Express), but much of this weekend will actually have a multiplayer focus.
Sounds like you and I have almost the same Switch library right now! I’m working through Yoku and loving it as a breezy, weird Metroidvania but I know I’m not going to stick around for the more in-depth collectible stuff later on. In fact, I’ll be switching over to Hollow Knight!
That’s what I hear! It’ll fill my ‘emotionally affecting’ games slot once I wrap up Persona 4.
Sounds like you and I had the same reaction to the debut trailer! Any clip that’s light on gameplay is going to be met with healthy skepticism, but especially when the game in question is a remake of one of the genre’s most beloved classics.
The Nintendo E3 sale is actually pretty good! I’m picking up Night in the Woods and Star Fox 64 3D.
You’re really selling me on Vampyr, bank and bloat aside. I’m planning to pick it up in some future sale.
I’ve heard a lot of praise for October Expansion - I’m sure you’ll love it. I’ll have to dig into it once I finish the original single player campaign in Splatoon 2. Your dog also looks adorable!!!
