Isn’t this the same 4.2L V8 that has the timing chain guides made of peanut brittle and is on the back of the engine so you need to pull the whole motor out to get to it?

Always a good sign when new transmission is in parenthesis. A 16 year old Audi S6 with 200k+ miles. What could go possibly wrong?????????

Well right...but after 1 year of the CLA/GLA being out, people realized it for what it was. Just a cheap knockoff of what a real Mercedes Benz is. If you are spending like 36-37k for an CLA250 4Matic, you might as well spend the extra 6-7k and get a real C300. I’m all about having cars that aren’t bullshitters. And

I wouldn’t expect the TLX to have 500 hp. Like can I be real here? Is 350 horses really “monstrous” these days? Like the Focus RS has 350. Yes I know it’s the most extreme Focus ever made, but a FORD FOCUS making 350 horses. V8 pony cars make 420-450 hp. The Hellcat and Demon are at 707/830 horses respectively. Hell

Does Mercedes Benz really need ANYMORE crossovers here? The GLA is absolute garbage. The GLC/GLE/GLS/G are fine, a small, mid sized 2 row, and a large 3 row, and a large body on frame SUV are fine. Does the world need another small MB USA SUV? GLC coupe is kinda...pointless. It costs more than a normal GLC, has a more

Yeah the resale is totally nuts. I checked the Subaru guaranteed trade in program when it had like 50k miles and Subaru guaranteed that it was still worth 20k on trade-in. And my 2.0 Premium was like 24k new (I ordered the factory rubberized cargo mat, backseat protector and the 7 year/100k mile warranty). I think I

Is this car the definition of putting lipstick on a pig?

I was one of the first few people around my area in early 2014 to buy a Subaru XV Crosstrek. Not sure if that technically counts as a subcompact “crossover” but it still retains its value, even 4 years later with 77k miles on the clock.

I’m sure Acura has improved the cars. But why weren’t they launched like this? I’m sure the engineers and test drivers have logged hundreds/thousands of hours test driving multiple configurations. Why does one have to buy a special version of the TLX just to get better suspension tuning? All older TL’s and TSX’s all

Wtf really? I live in Maryland and mine was ~6800 dollars with 150k miles. I also have the earliest one, people say the 07-08 ones look better with the refresh.

My own fiance berated my choice of our second car. I wanted another Subaru, but either a hatchback or wagon. I didn’t want anything to do with the EJ25x series engines (headgaskets, timing belt, etc). Ended up finding an 2005 Outback 3.0R L.L Bean Edition literally 10 miles from our house. Had a ton of miles, exterior

No I’m just a realist. Acura sales haven’t been so hot, and their cars aren’t exactly loved.

I’ve driven a newer TLX, ILX (1st gen). Not impressed. ILX interior quality was...not very Acura-like at all. It just reminded me of an upscale Civic Si. My most favorite “newer” Acuras is probably the 04-08 TSX with the manual and a 07-08 TL Type-S. You know when Acura still actually cared about performance and fun.

I know I was poking fun at Acura having a pretty subpar model lineup for quite sometime. I think Acura is too confused on what Acura means. Back in the 90's I know what Acura stood for. It meant sporty driving dynamics, lightweight, fun cars to drive, that were still good on gas and was reliable. Jack of all trades

I mean I don’t particularly care for factory navigation, though Apple Carplay/Android Auto would be great. But alot of buyers in this class do care about navigation and/or technology packages, and this car had neither. Also I read the takerate of the 6MT ILX was like 1-2% so....you knew this model was going to die

The ILX 6MT was pretty good, but the absence of the tech/navigation made it sort of weird. Also it lacks the helical LSD vs the Civic Si so it technically is a tiny notch below the Si. Then again I don’t know how many people are taking their ILX’s out to the track.

Sure and the NSX is a 150k esoteric super car? Do you honestly think they will put anything near that level of performance into a somewhat affordable 50-60k car? I think the Type R is a start but Honda products of the past 10 years has been extremely disappointing. Even my dad was looking at the Pilot/MDX for my mom

Maybe not the best comparison but the BRZ/Miata are made to comform to modern safety standards and are uber lightweight. Sure they are a bit smaller, but it wouldn’t be hard to make something like that larger. There’s also something not satisfying about electric powersteering. Sure VW probably does the best with it

I don’t see this making a difference. Honda will likely downsize the current V6 and turbo it and probably neuter it.

Let me take a wild guess what Acura will do:
