Map knowledge in this game is incredibly important. The games I do the best in are on maps that I know better than others. I actually run solo on custom games to learn the maps for cam locations, hatches, and good angles for different attack/defend locations.

For everyone put off by the terrible matchmaking over the weekend, don’t worry too much. It is not like that normally. The free weekend plus the Ghost Recon beta put a huge strain on their servers. I usually find a match within 2 minutes max and they are already planning on improving their matchmaking a ton.
