First of all, Jenna Marbles didn’t do blackface. She had a dark tan when she worked in a tanning shop. Tacky? Yes. Blackface? No. She had that tan in every video at the time.

As someone who has done a lot of reading on this case, very recently, I have to take issue with the idea that Syed didn’t have a fair trial. Unfortunately, I think that a lot of people have been misled by people on Syed’s side to believe that there was less evidence than there was.

I think expecting the disillusioned, cynical youth of today to be blown away by the benign social commentary of a middle aged, upper middle class white man is a bit much tbh.

If the goal of this interview is to make me not really want to watch any of this woman’s work then you’ve achieved it.

May I ask what podcast it was? If it was Trends Like These I haven’t listened to the ep yet but if not I’m be glad for another podcast recommendation that discusses the news.
