I’d be curious to see your take on it!

Ugh. Snoke being Darth Plagueis would not have been cool. It would have been terrible. The whole EU story of Darth Plagueis creating Anakin as a Force Jesus is one of the worst Star Wars thing I’ve ever read, so I do not want it get more canon legitimacy than it already have. Not to mention, making Snoke Darth

God.

Now playing

Heh, neat: that intro is a direct homage to the opening of Revenge of the Sith.

You know what kind of villains I like?

Well... that sounds terrible? I mean complex villains are good but the Emperor was always at his best when he is this menacing evil mysterious figure who makes everyone dance to his evil tune of evil.

No actor, no matter how good, could have saved the awful writing in those movies. I've no idea if this Hayden guy can act, but judging him purely on those SW movies is unfair. The creepy, awful scenes with him and Portman were one of the very few times in my life I *literally* felt bad for the actors.

I’m someone who doesn’t think that Christensen was the problem, but that the scripts and direction made it impossible for him to end up with a “good” performance. He’s not the world’s best actor by any stretch, but for playing Anakin he was a good choice. If the scripts were better he’d have come off better. Same with

I would love the Burj Khalifa being destroyed in real-life even more. Dubai is just a zit on the face of Earth.

Was it one of those Oprah car give aways??

I’m not sure what’s confusing about this. I’m not one to give Bay any credit for coherent writing, mind you, but Lockdown quite literally referred to Optimus Prime as the last Knight of Cybertron he was hunting down for his masters (presumably the Quintessons). So, the Last Knight is just referring to Optimus Prime,

A lot of these exceptionally tenuous grasps at being related. Some are intentional for sure, a lot of them though, there doesn’t seem to be any other/better way to convey that moment then what is being presented on screen.

He’ll be a boy-band member, I’m sure.

I believe he was talking about Matthew Fox, the lead actor in Lost who was told how the writers were planning on ending the show before he signed on to play the lead role. Not the Fox broadcasting network.

Please tell me there’s a Christmas Carol parody where Palpatine is visited by the ghosts of Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Yoda.

Made famous by Terminator?! I think Colonel Jack O’Neill and the rest of SG-1 would have something to say about that. But seriously, not one single mention of the ten-year run of Stargate SG-1, with several establishing shots of Cheyenne Mountain in every episode?

My geographical location has nothing to do with my ability to make moral judgements. How ridiculously condescending of you, and exactly the kind of insane moral logic I’m talking about.

Guess what? Loius CK is a fucking comedian. If you want to call someone out for hurtful speech, do so, but I grow weary of the ever-increasing list of shit I can’t talk about because someone, somewhere with paper-think skin may get offended by it.

Okay, thoughts;

I didn’t like it. I saw the movie slightly buzzed, and there were still a lot of things that pulled me out of the experience.
