The pro-gun idiots will latch onto absolutely anything they can to support their horrible arguments. They did the same thing with the Charleston church shooting, when they actually claimed it was an attack on Christianity.

It never did. That’s a bullshit myth perpetuated by people in the restaurant industry. 15% is still acceptable. 20% is nice if you got really excellent service. Any more than that is foolish, unless there are extenuating circumstances (you see the server having to deal with jerks at another table, it’s the server’s

The worst part is reading columns like this one, where it seems Rothfuss thinks his world is on par with Tolkien’s and G.R.R. Martin’s.

You are not alone. I read the first two books just to see what all the hype was about. I didn’t think the books were terrible - although I think your criticisms are dead on - just completely overrated.

It wasn’t bad at all, but for some reason everybody seemed to think he was saying it made it hard to be Ben’s friend, when what he clearly meant was it was painful to watch him go through that.

If the employee can’t prove the actual reason he/she was fired was due to being HIV positive, and not for any other reason (and it can be almost ANY reason), he/she has no case. Employment law almost always favors the employer. The fact that the firing happened about a month after the disclosure really doesn’t help.

That people are siding with Papelbon IS completely insane, but I still wouldn’t compare a major league baseball team to an ordinary workplace. Come on.

Completely shameless.

I’ve been bored with him for awhile, and I’ve decided overall I don’t admire his acting as much as most people seem to. Every role he has is Robert De Niro playing gangster/criminal/cop or Robert De Niro playing a goofy role that pokes fun at his usual roles. He doesn’t disappear into the character like the really

I’ve despised Joe West for 21 fucking YEARS now. My hatred for him is old enough to buy a drink.

Not good at all. He is one of the more reasonable Republicans. Which isn’t saying much. But still, not good. These fucking idiots are willing to shut down the government simply because of their insane hatred for Planned Parenthood. They’re going to replace Boehner with someone willing to do that.

Shepard Smith is the king of fucking gaffes. A few years ago he was trying to say “block party” and said “blow job party.”

It doesn’t always cook off - it takes a little while.

She’s given away a ton of her money, to the point where she is no longer a billionaire.

I don’t have these internal problems at all. It’s a game.

Cruz is definitely the worst of that lot. And I’m including Trump in that lot.

I lived in Cheyenne for two years and it was absolutely the two most miserable years of my life. I’ll never forget that fucking wind.

Is this the one situation where it’s acceptable not to tip well?

Sorry Albert.

I’m about as liberal as it gets myself, but these columns are getting more and more annoying to read, because they are so knee-jerk, really add no new insights to the discussion, and overall I feel like I’m reading pieces by dilettantes who are really under-qualified to write about this subject matter, but they have
