Probably the greatest. He should come back on contract to finish the series.
Do what I do, find the stuff that people mention, and look it up on Spotify/Youtube/whatever. This is probably the best way I have these days to find new music since I don't really go to shows anymore.
@avclub-577bf73a564d1fd9878f3c70f931a066:disqus Yep, Anchorless. It's on Spotify, I'm listening to it as I write this. I prefer the Propagandhi version, my wife prefers the Weakerthans version.
If you want to try Propagandhi based on liking the Weakerthans, you need to start with the albums that John Samson played on: Less Talk, More Rock and How To Clean Everything. There's a couple of songs that John sings that almost sound Weakerthans-ish, (Anchorless, Gifts, Showdown (G.E.P.)), but they really are very…
There was a hip hop one last year.
This video touches on a lot of the hardcore dancing moves from the 90s.
I used to as well, before I got into Jawbreaker. Now I've made it a point not to get into Jawbox, or I'll be right back where I started.
One of my favorites. I started writing about it, but realized I was a year early.
I never saw SOIA there, but the PWAC is where I saw some of my first hardcore shows. I miss that place.
The most important hardcore/punk release of 1992 in my admittedly biased eyes was Sick Of It All's Just Look Around. Considered by many NYHC scenesters as the album that saved New York Hardcore (for good or for ill), it is probably their best release and set the stage for a lot of the bands that I'd come to see every…
Yeah, it's astonishing that the two were only release a year or so apart, Ribbed pretty much sounds like a high school band.
Come on, I'm no Earth Crisis defender, I always thought they were ridiculously overrated, but the early stuff (the first two EPs basically) was a lot of fun live. Snapcase, on the other hand, I unabashedly loved.
Avail was one of the better live bands I've seen, alas I only got to see them once before they called it quits.
White Trash is the perfect introduction to NOFX, and probably the one I've listened to the most over the years. In fact, all I say you really need is that, The Longest Line, Punk In Drublic, and The Decline (Sorry, was never really big on So Long for some reason) to get the gist of NOFX.
Tetsuooooooo.
I was hoping that they were going to come out and say all you indie nerds were wrong it's LETRERFOK, and then I realized that that makes even less sense, and why am I even thinking about this anyway when I'm not really a fan.
Just last night's embarrassment. Sucking that bad against the Cowboys hurts.
As a Giants fan, fuck my life.
I don't know, how about vaccines causing autism?
