That’s why composites are great for deep sea submersibles... wait, those only resist corrosion not implosion.

Exactly, the database would be the single point of failure in the system.

This is one bill I’m actually glad he vetoed. Total garbage and was a complete joke.

Funny how things like that level of frustration can really trigger you. You’d think watching my dad take two weeks to die of a stroke - slowly losing himself piece by piece, day by day, in front of my very eyes until he withered away to a husk - would be my worst day. But somehow, it wasn’t.

I have, unfortunately, been there.

I’ve driven a new M4 on and off track. I’m fairly confident that the M4 wasn’t the issue.

But I have a car that has a notably smaller tank than a Miata. 8 gallons, to be precise.

Right you are, I need to brush up on my Bonnie Tyler lyrics.  It’s a heartache.

It doesn’t help EVs case of being better for the environment that the CEO of the largest EV company has been downplaying the benefits in an attempt to ingratiate himself with the Republican party.

The idea that concerns over BEVs legitimacy are unfounded and illogical is precisely why the approval for them is dropping.

Fraud can happen in any business or non-profit. Jalopnik lists it on account of the automotive link. As a CPA / auditor, I don’t think automotive restoration and tuner companies are necessarily any more susceptible than a typical closely held business with poor controls. I am sorry to hear that even with classic cars,

I feel like so many of these restoration and tuner companies end up in hot water, it is weird.

The best thing for the environment is to just reduce driving. But that involves actually building out a public transport infrastructure, increased work from home, building smaller and lighter vehicles, and maybe not having 5 kids that each need to take some sort of after school activity every day of the week. Then

Bottom line, until there is an EV that is as fun to drive, practical, and inexpensive to buy as my beloved VW GTI, I don’t want one. To be fair, the number of ICE cars I’d consider buying is also extremely small.

Could be they just rode in the rain as well.

These are solid bikes. Belive the early V7 Classics experienced some issues with bubbling of the plastic fuel tanks which can lead to fuel leaks at the pump (later models went to metal and should be swappable) and the early smallblock (750s, bigblock 850, 1100, 1200) had dual throttle bodies that needed synching

I’m of the firm belief that AM radio is important and to be preserved. Not everyone has a cell phone, not everyone has access to reliable charging and reliable income to pay the monthly bill, but everyone needs access to information on severe weather or other disasters. Plus, as union-hardrolls pointed out, AM radio

I’m part of the class.  Should be a fun watch.  Texas does take land issues seriously.

Are you new? There are airline stories, maritime stories, industry stories, and media-personalities using transportation stories.

Just more space junk, at this rate of satellite proliferation (all of this by just one company) the Space Force is just going to be a bunch of orbital sanitation engineers.
