Lasers communicate slower than the speed of light (in a vacuum) when passing through air. The speed of light, whilst a constant, changes drastically depending on the refractive index of the medium through which it is passing.

The best part is it’s completely incompatible with more-expensive driver aids, meaning that it’s advertising you’ve bought the ‘pleb spec’.
Sounds great; I’d have to get there. Maybe there’s a conference I need to go to...
When I went to go look at a new Z, the three dealers I went to either didn’t have one, or were jealously guarding the one they had such that I was not permitted to even sit in it. The dealers are going to kill this car.
“If you want a convertible sports car that was designed 70 years ago and is made from wood...”
Wait, I thought Tesla said it could tow ‘near infinite mass’?
Intent is absolutely hard to prove.
I agree; it would be great to have an investigation into his activities to prepare discovery for a jury trial.

If I had “pay Jaguar to hand-build two examples of a sixty-year-old car” money, I would absolutely do this.
You don’t necessarily volunteer your location if you are specifically using GPS: standalone devices keep the data for their maps onboard and solely correlate the information from the satellite transmissions and a known table of satellite ephemeris. The issue is with the phone, not the beacons we’ve put up there.
Don’t forget -e^(i*pi)
GPS (the US’s GNSS) is only a transmitted signal; our phones receive it and cross-correlate a number of simultaneously-visible signals to achieve a lock. You could turn off GPS on your phone and still be tracked as the transmitter for tracking is in the mobile device.
I’ve said it before here, but I’d realistically like 250 miles on a fun 2-door grand tourer. It’s more than enough for my daily commute, but I’d want enough range to be able to, y’know, actually drive some distance before charging. The charge speed is also deeply important. My current car goes about 250 city miles or…
Suddenly I see this series costing WAY more than the $40ish grand of a Murano, but I AM intrugued...
Yes, but you can’t make ‘content’ by just buying a Murano.
My colleagues see me ride in to work regularly in my riding jeans and heavy, armoured jacket. They’re delighted when I reveal that the jeans are kevlar lined and have armour in the hips and knees. I try to be a good representative of motorcycling, and gearing up in good kit somehow makes you less intimidating.
I picked up a modular Shoei Neotec II on sale (since the IIIs just came out) and it’s been a major improvement for commuting (gotta show my face at the gate to get in to work), stopping for a drink of water, and fuelling/parking (raise the entire front and you get better visibility). It’s also great for really hot,…
Yep, and the limited’s MSRP in 2015 was $30k (base could be had for $25k). The STi, a significantly superior car, started a $35k. I know that prices have gone up, but with inflation that STi was about $45k (what the CVT-only GT is going for). They’re giving you less car for much, much more money and are hoping you’ll…
