It’s a summer job. What college student who’s home for three months from college is getting a high-paying job? The ‘point’ of the student loan is it’s expected that with your degree you’ll unlock a high-paying job, but that it’s also going to be full-time and all-year round; not seasonal.

National minimum wage is $7.25/hour. Multiply that through by a 40-hour week and 12 weeks you only get $3,840 before taxes, rent, utilities, etc.

Right? Give me a summer job that can earn me $5,000 (a year’s tuition at community college) but also covers my basic needs.

Don’t buy a high-mileage RENTAL car that the company is selling off due to “high repair costs” (you’ve lost out on the first 80,000 miles of reliability) and “frequent damage” (which probably means the cheapest ones are likely the ones that have been damaged) if you’re trying to save money. Please.

100% agreed. There is a time and place for these things, and at work and/or piloting a piece of heavy machinery are neither.

Should many of these drugs be legalised federally? Yes, undoubtedly. Should the wealthy have to live by the same rules as the rest of us? Even moreso.

I’ve picked up some fun vehicles over the last couple of years, and they’re all in pretty good shape now after a fair amount of work, so my resolutions are:

The FA24 has only been in the WRX since 2022, and I sure hope it’s a stronger engine with better longevity than the pile of shit that is the FA20. Having gone through two of them (one stock) I have the receipts. Hell, I still have the bent conrods and cracked pistons sitting in my garage as mementos mori.

The FA series have an unfortunate incompatibility with both more boost and the g forces involved with going fast around a track. They finally got the EJ series in pretty good shape, too.
