They’re really missing out on the potential of EV-lociraptor
I currently own a WRX, a 44-year-old BMW motorcycle, and a 37-year-old Vespa. I use the BMW and Vespa for most of everything, so I guess the smallest I could live with is a 200-lb Italian scooter with parcel shelves. The BMW is handy for longer-distance rides and getting into work quickly. If it weren’t for the fact…
I want this more than almost every other truck I’ve ever seen.
You and me both. My ‘78 R100RS is still going strong.
Dang, that’s a good-looking bike, and it’s nice to see BMW keep the pricing the same (yes, yes, I know it’s still expensive).
I’m excited to play it again just so long as I never have to hear a fake small child running around going “I’m a witcher! Hiiiii-yah!” ever again
Hell, I’m all about ‘recharging my batteries’ in groups of people, but I’m at work to get work done and really would rather someone not take up time with a long-winded story whilst I’m on the clock. Am I in the break area drinking coffee? Sure, come talk to me. Do I have my headphones in whilst furiously typing? Now’s…
I think there’s room for both. I work a hybrid schedule (three days a week I’m in the office, with flexibility on what those days are depending on meetings, etc, and if there’s no reason to go in, I don’t have to) and that works for me. I now enjoy driving and riding motorcycles way more than I used to because the…
... How much am I being paid to work at Meta?
Neutral: We’re currently working to install charging infrastructure on our house in preparation for some years from now when we buy electric. I think, honestly, that there’s already an electric car that I like enough to buy, but it’s just going to take me saving up for it: I like not having a car payment. I’ll keep my…

In addendum: prepare to have a bunch of new, specialty tools for whatever you happen to get. Prepare to buy flywheel pullers and bearing pullers and steering head... pullers. There are a lot of pullers involved, is what I’m saying.
Came here to say this, and you did a better job of describing it than I could have.
I don’t know that there’s a particular car that I’ve always wanted to ‘restore’, but I’ve always wanted an air-cooled 911 Turbo. I have an unfortunate love of boxer engines, and driving the RR configuration is unlike anything else on the road. I think it’d be fun to bring one back to life.
Hell, get two. Two project bikes will take up less than the space of a single project car!
That is GORGEOUS. Way to go!
