I like the fact that in Europe, Motorway signs are blue, so that way you know that Motorway rules apply.

Before I die I have to see the Stratos concept, the Bertone Carabo, and the Ferrari Modulo. If not, my ghost will wander the earth forever seeking them out.

I’m still actively avoiding flying.  I’m actually considering driving to SoCal for a visit (1200 miles one way, so at least one night on the road).

Good. As someone who had to sit next to someone with the world’s worth garlic-breath for six hours I’m fine if this rule is always in place. People are nasty.

My pick would be the Lancia Stratos. It was clear that nothing as insane as the concept could ever enter production, so it’s not surprising that the production car was so very different. What is nice is that the production car is still a lengendary of object of desire:

But Sam Bee did get her own show which was unceremoniously dropped when the new CEO of Warner Discovery, who is a vile bigot and misogynist took over.

I’m not sure what this means.  He’s not allowed to be tired or to have been surprised by how much nonstop work it was because he was “virtually unknown” (which he definitely wasn’t)?

Jesus, I hadn’t even thought about that. What a time to try and make fun of stuff for a living, when reality is too fucking absurd to be believed, and the dumbest most unhinged shit you can come up with ends up being the GOP’s talking points in like a week! 😱

He... didn't? TDS ratings are pretty stellar, and I'd argue he gave the show a stronger social media presence than Stewart did.

Maybe money and fame is worth a “grind” to you. But it isn’t to most people, and maybe Trevor is beginning to think it wasn't worth it.

He did get saddled with the 2016-2020 years, which lasted about five centuries. I don’t blame him for not wanting to deal with another Trump candidacy where the satire is real and there’s nothing you can say to mock it that won’t eventually come out of a Republican’s mouth.

Why is everyone so weird about this one?

Republicans: “We must protect our 2nd Amendment rights even though the US has daily mass shootings!”

I cane here to say there are a lot of ridiculous things I’d do for that yellow Pulsar, but hyperbole aside giving that kinda money to a QAnon-er wouldn't be one of them.

Same; took a second look for me to see it.

.. and the cover art calls Grover Cookie Monster. Cousins maybe. But not same Muppet.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a dangerous group, extreme and very well funded by dark money. Here in the UK during the pandemic the government relaxed the rules on needing to see a doctor in person to get the abortion pills, instead a patient could have a phone or zoom appointment and the pills were mailed to

Many journalists and activists (myself included) built much of our careers on Twitter and rely on it heavily for real-time breaking news and to just generally do our jobs.” Yeah I’m sad to lose the funny parts, but I’m not sad that if Twitter goes down that journalism will have to stop considering reporting on Twitter

It’s even worse than the ultra-rich using these private foundations to funnel money to their own pet projects and to derive material benefits (ie, donate to an educational institution so their shitty kids can get in) - which is a fact. In addition, most of the top private foundations fail to meet even the minimum
