This is a well-done historical comment. A Radical +1 to you.

I love how some people will grasp at the wispiest straws to avoid believing that things are racist, because the truth is uncomfortable. The ‘crabs in a bucket’ thing is about as virulently racist as it gets.

“Crabs in a barrel” or “Crabs in a bucket” is a common thing said about black people and sometimes even by black people to refer to a competitive, yet destructive mentality wherein a crab will not allow another crab to escape a trap, and assumably death, before it goes first.

Most importantly, it is a shitty, horrible

And also the fact that he pretty clearly was singling out the black players in both of these allegations? I mean, if that was all of it, sure I could say “well, maybe those three players just happened to be attitude problems”, but there’s kind of a preponderance of evidence here.

The suit ends just short of “Subpar N”, which is yet another nickname Bollant used to address some of these girls.

Are you just going to conveniently ignore everything else and focus on only what you can argue against?

I’m guessing that given the sport involved, the monetary breakdown here will be $3 compensatory, $9,999,997 punitive.

When was Colin Cowherd hired as women’s bball coach at Illinois?

In response to these charges, Bollant describes his team as “simply undergoing Reconstruction.”

In his defense, one of his friends is black.

I love the guy getting up in arms about “real life police”, and how horrible it is that this guy is being tranq’d and kept alive and restrained in a cell.

...a photo of a woman with a black eye, and the tagline, “Domestic violence. Because sometimes, you have to tell her more than once.”

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but:

Things will be getting worse.

“Clearly it was an attempt to symbolically erase racism...”

I hate it when people willfully misinterpret non violent resistance as "always be nice to racist white people and never call out their racism." That's not what King was doing, people!

Is it really racist to call Germans humorless engineers?

They most certainly are. Especially those who pretend to be a certain way so they can write for popular websites.

Twitter has made this ABUNDANTLY clear. And I’m just like,

Greg, I made a snarky comment on your Richard Sherman piece from January on Deadspin about Gawker Media being "Your Source of White Guilt" or some such nonsense. It got a ton of up-votes. After reading on the Internet about Mike Brown and specifically this article, I wish I could delete that post and slap my January

My understanding of this is
