I try them on all the time. But for me at least just because a shoe is comfortable when I put it on doesn't mean it will be after an hour. I personally have a very hard time and sometimes have to wear them indoors and make myself walk around for a day or two just to get a better idea.

Exactly! I was a massive fan of JMS on Spidey and disliked pretty much the same stuff you did. All I can tell you is Slott has done some amazing stuff with Spidey. Even if you don't go back to the start of his run, I'd say pick up Spider-Island you'll definitely like it.

One More Day was the horrible story. Practically everything after it has been golden. Spidey is the best its been in years. Sucks that Mary Jane and Peter had to be broken apart and never been married, but it left the door open enough for them to end up back together.

Steel was never black superman. He was a black man, who created his own armored fighting suit who wore Superman's S on his chest to honor him. He was never called officially referred to as Superman. If anything he'd be closer to Iron Man in reality.
