I read that- and Senator Heitenkamp has experience a uptick in the polls and funding because of making the RIGHT choice. Murkowski is answerable to Alaskans, which is a mineral/oil state. That is right and fair when it comes to Federal taxes and fee (which can hurt Alaskans, many of whom can only work in very intense

Heidi Heitenkamp and Lisa Murkowski both put their jobs in fairly serious jeopardy today in no small part to represent the Native women in their states.  Heitenkamp even said that if she was making a political decision that she would vote yes, but she had to make a moral decision.

And frankly, unless Collins lives with Brett 24-7 and he’s never out of her sight, how the fuck does she know what kind of father/husband he is? Most abusers are absolutely charming out in public.

Ugh. Honestly FUCK YOU 50-WHATEVER PERCENT OF WHITE WOMEN WHO INSIST ON HOLDING THE REST OF US BACK. AND DON’T YOU *DARE* COME HERE TO #NOTALLWHITEWOMEN UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO OBLITERATE YOUR ASS WITH FACTS, DATA AND STATISTICS ABOUT JUST HOW MUCH YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC HAS DAMAGED EVERY REAL ATTEMPT WE’VE MADE AT PROGRESS.

I don’t think she’s ever going back to Maine again. She married her lobbyist, she’s gonna retire after this term and live in DC.

It is VERY hard to see right now, but there are some baby steps happening in the right direction.

Calling Collins a feminist is remarkably generous. The only woman she cares about is herself.

It’s not working anymore. It won’t work going forward.

Time to buy one of these for every finger.

It may not have stopped the nomination of a monumentally unqualified SCJOTUS, but I think it’s far too early to say that it was for nothing. I think the contrast between her resolute composure and the whiny, exasperated flailing of Blackout Brett is something that’s going to stick in the minds of people for a long

Yeah, Roe v. Wade is settled precedent (until I get on the motherfucking court, you dumb bitch!).

Well if it makes you happy, apparently that fund for an opponent if she votes yes was up to $2 million earlier and the website is down now because of all the traffic to that page.

The entire freakin country was united in #WhyIDidntReport and #MeToo epiphanies, millions of women who never expected to be triggered were triggered, and, in the space of a month, men lost their favorite go-to defense of “why didn’t she report it?”. That’s a LOT of side benefits to Dr. Ford’s ordeal.

I think Ford deserves better. She did her part by telling the truth; she shouldn’t be punished by being insulted to her face again.

Ever since McCain did that whole “you’ll have to wait and see” shit with ACA every bloody Senator seems to want a moment like this. Collins was clearly always going to go for the drunk assaulter as a real Nice GuyTM but she wanted her “moment for the books” on top.

I’m glad you got something out of it, I too am a survivor and while I respect her and thank her for her efforts, they were for naught.

I am not trying to find a silver lining here, there isn’t one, women didn’t come out if this with anything, other than more pain and humiliation.  I have lost 2 friends in the last 2

I’m not in her district so I can’t vote her out, but I’m glad you can.  So sick of her and her pretend concern.

It wasn’t for nothing to me.  It was inspiring.  I hate that she felt like she had to do this, and I hate that she received so much shit for it, and I hate that her life has been upended.  But it wasn’t for nothing to me, and to my fellow assault survivors.

Accurate footage of me watching her whole speech. Except my hair is shorter. And I’m not famous.

Ford spoke out for nothing. That’s what she was worried about all along: That she would re-live her trauma and ruin her life for nothing.

If Maine doesn’t vote out this attention-seeking sack of shit, shaped like a woman, we should vote them out.
