A few things: 1) Pretty sure the opening sermon scene happens AFTER the courthouse scene, timeline-wise. That’s why one says “I do believe the Monsignor’s finally got the point.”
2) Of course he doesn’t recognize the main characters, he was imprisoned before they were old enough to recognize them. They specifically

if you dont mind, ill keep the starks and lannisters as far away from anything to do with my wedding as possible

That look of, “oh shit, is this happening,” is kind of awesome. It’s pretty clear that this couple knows enough about each other to know this kind of thing would work out well (I once knew a guy who took a girl he’d been dating for a month to an MLB game, and proposed on the Jumbotron—that did not go well).

I don’t know anyone who hated Fallon for breaking. I do know a shitload of people who hated him for constantly and pretty obviously faking it because he figured out that the audience found it endearing when someone lost it. Nothing about it looked natural when he did it. He even sometimes would look directly into the

I think some of it also has to do with how young she was when she started in Hollywood, and that she seemed like she was just always there. Just like it’s surprising that Drew Barrymore is only 43. (Although Drew Barrymore has certainly lived enough to fill a few lives, too.)

The producers/directors for the Wizard of Oz would give her amphetamines to keep her up for 72+hours of shooting, then downers to sleep for a while, then more uppers for filming.

What they should do is use Judy recordings to dub for Renee’s singing because otherwise Renee is going get critically slaughtered if she tries to sing.

I hope Judy’s voice is dubbed in. Without her voice, it’s not Judy.

I’ll admit she does capture her in that shot, though we’ll see about the rest. I liked Chicago, but I feel like she’s got nothing on Judy’s raw power. Don’t even come near this song with any nasally whining.

“Get ready for the Renéessance”

I know how young Judy Garland was when she died, but I’m amazed ALL OVER AGAIN whenever I read that she was, in fact, only 47.

That sounds about right.

As an old Gen-X, spot on.

This is how it always is. The youngins’ are always lazy fucks until they do something substantial, in which case they’re naive and clueless and should go back to their textings and vidya’ games.

It’s funny.....all the adults who for years have shit upon Millenials (now adults) and other kids....complaining they’re lazy, selfish, absorbed in their phones, have no direction, don’t vote, don’t care about issues etc etc.

GOD, yes. That knock on their door filled me with absolute horror. I’m glad they didn’t show anything more.

And season 7's amazing “Conversations with Dead People.” Still my favorite episode of the whole series.

Also the season 5 episode where Dawn tried to bring Joyce back.
