Every little bit helps. My tiny little nonprofit museum gets about $20-25 per quarter through Amazon Smile, but that’s the equivalent of 3-4 people doing individual memberships in our nonprofit society. We’re not going to turn our noses up at it. :)

I make garlic-herb or pesto butter (about 2-4 oz at a time), roll it into a log wrapped in wax or cheese paper and it keeps in the fridge for at least two months. (I have heard of botulism from people making infused oils and storing them at room temperature indefinitely.) I let the butter soften on the counter for…
I haven’t heard of people getting botulism from butter. It’s made from crappy canning, but people keep canned goods for eternity, so I imagine it takes a while to set up.
Back in the 1980's, while earning money for college, I got a summer job at the Sunset Magazine test kitchens.
The Kamala is a Cop thing only hurt her insofar as she was unprepared to defend her record as a prosecutor when it was raised against her. A good response to it could have easily turned it into a strength, but what really seems to have killed her campaign was a lack of strategic thinking that had her trying to make…
Wanting to be your lover’s tampon is neither sweet, nor dorky.
My pet theory is the Queen is trying to outlive Charles and pass it directly to Will.
Imagine loaning your car to a friend, then that friend sells it on Craigslist. Wouldn’t you want your car back? Even if it was a millionaire who loaned his $million car out, you don’t think he should be able to sue to egetit back, despite being rich?
In a world with lots more digital assets I am kinda impressed how well done this case was.
Obviously the lending person (lets call him 1.4Million Moron or MM) shouldn’t lose his asset just because his friend is an idiot or a scam artist (SA). Meanwhile the buying party (BP) should also be compensated as they were…
Yup. Anything that makes it clear that there is no interest in participating. Making more excuses just makes them think that you want to go, but this “thing” is preventing you, which means more invites.
Ha! Thanks for keeping it real in the comments. I was definitely sitting here fooling myself. “Ooh.. I’m totally going to do this when I get home from work!” No. No you’re not, Me. Stop lying.
“I’m sorry, I came to the first one to see what it was all about, but this really isn’t something that I’m interested in.”
🍆🍆🍆💦🚂👻?
I’ve threatened death and breakups on anyone telling the server it was my birthday. Having a scene made about me in public is pretty much the last thing my introverted ass wants to happen.
Same. As someone who grew up in the ‘80s, when she already seemed like a long-term fixture, and having also witnessed the death of the careers of hundreds of women in entertainment when they were considered past their prime, I am amazed and wildly impressed that she’s still in the game.
I mean, 1) she breaks down the process of preparing for this, which included the hiring/training of more people and 2) yes, by pushing the timeline. She has sold out of the original orders (with a nov 2020 delivery date) and if you back now, delivery is aug 2021.
You’re fine, Flo. Just remember to tell people to kiss your grits.
This. If it’s an emergency they shouldn’t be just standing at the register, and if it’s not an emergency they should be able to put the phone down for the customer transaction.
My mother told me: “Never assume a woman is pregnant unless you can see the baby’s head crowning.” I’ve found it to be good advice.
I’m trying to think of a good reason why it shouldn’t be. I mean technically state schools may not legally be able to ban them on 1st amendment grounds but they can stop recognizing their charters as a student group and I feel like it’s about time they did.
