The same people who view untrusted email attachments and links. šŸ˜

Mainly so they can confirm that the app on their device is indeed the one they should get rid of. Obviously, do not sideload the apps from those links.

Who downloads these weird, crappy apps in the first place?

I’m already seeing the comments, so let’s be clear about something here:

ā€œCancel Cultureā€ did not kill Alec Holowka. We don’t yet have the full picture of how he died, but it sounds as if he died by suicide, and had been suffering from a host of psychological and personal difficulties prior to that final, tragic act.

No…

Video is a nice fuck off to the white supremacist crowd too.

Thank you for your reply. I really wanted to get a hold of corporate. I wish I could find an actual phone number.

I’ve yet to come across any scent from vapes that smells nice. They all remind me of car air fresheners. I can’t imagine they taste that much better.

When vapes first came out, I had a co-worker who would vape while at work, at her desk, at other people’s desks. And she was not young, She as an older long time smoker who decided vaping was the answer to work. After a few months they came out with a new policy saying you can’t vape at work. The flavored vapes smell…

Buses in Denver had that problem too until transit banned them. To me they remind me as pacifiers for adults. They look like little kids sucking on them all day. I don’t know why anyone thinks they look ā€˜cool’

You want terror, read up on the exploding lithium batteries in some of these things.

This is exactly what gives me pause. I’m not sure if people take hits from these things constantly, everywhere, because they just think nobody cares and the smell isn’t as noxious as cigarettes (very much debatable) or because they are seriously addicted/dependent.Ā

Of additional interest: a student won an award from NIH for proving vaping can lead to ā€œthird handā€ exposure from touching nicotine residue on objects exposed to vape exhalation.

Plus the problem with any product like this that’s newer-ish and less regulated is that any ole crap could be in there (and probably is!)

Vaping started getting big right when I was in college, and the first time I saw someone do it in a dorm room it was like yes, theoretically it’s just water vapor and I get that, but as an asthmatic I don’t have to like it.Ā

Like I been to a lot of parties where the beers were in the fridge. Helping yourself isn’t crazy. Going through tupperware is crazy.

This. Had Random House let both of them go, and only given Thrush back his advance, that would be one thing but she’s the one who decided not to pursue the book without him so totally different scenario. It’s the difference between getting fired from your job and quitting, essentially.

It certainly does from that perspective. I don’t care for Haberman at all, but it feels like another example of women doing the right thing after a man fucks up and getting penalized whilst the man remains virtually unscathed to freely move on to more fuckery.

Same reason everyone in the 4th grade hated me. I was better than all them bitches.Ā

Ok, so the optics are bad but doesn’t it make sense? Thrush’s participation was ended by Random House so they let him keep the advance presumably because he’d otherwise have sued?Ā Haberman however ended her participation with Random House so she failed to live up to her terms of the deal?
